Thanx for this amazing video ( series of videos to be correct ). He was an amazing, unique and a "looking ahead" writer ( and scientist ). His death was a big loss for the sci-fi community and the biology progress.
@1Arky1 In Greece the "Foundation" series are called "Galactic Empire" ( 1 to 6 ), for reasons that only the greek publishers know. Anyway I always had the curiosity to see what will happen after they have found R. Oliwaw, but Asimov never continued the series.
The amazing thing with this story is that Asimov is beginning with a lot of "pre-sequels" ( like "Caves of steel", "The naked sun", etc ) and he is creating an enormous puzzle of a continues plot that ends surprisingly apocalyptic!
goddammit, that host is really annoying with his "witty" interruptions. when you bring a man like Asimov in your studio, shut up and let him speak !!!
A great man and a great writer. Although many of todays SF critics tend to dismiss him as someone who never progressed beyond the style of the "golden age of science fiction writing", I always found him to be an entertaining author and a witty observer. I wish that I had an opportunity to meet him personally. Thanks for the post....
@zackgreer and in fact robots should do the production of all goods so humans could focus on discovery, arts and just having fun instead of spending 30% of their entire life just making a living mostly in jobs they hate
"Oh, I doubt that anyone will say I'm a great writer."
Couldn't have possibly been more wrong.

@breakfastisgo It's really astonishing that such a brilliant man could be so humble.

Too bad they didn't have a robot interview him; it would have been a lot better.

Asimov's voice never sounds like you imagine it to. You just don't imagine him having a Brooklyn accent. Still, he was awesome, and forever will be.
