The RG-31 has been battle tested extensively and hundreds of soldiers have survived everything from RPG's to anti-tank mines whereas the Dingo just simply cannot compare.

The news reader is incorrect in calling this vehicle the Nyala it is actually a Mamba.

The Nyala is the S.African Police's APC of which I have many fond memories of driving and laughing at the gooks who were shooting at us with AK47's.

The RG31's (Mamba's) predecessor is the Military Caspir and Buffel.

Good question, maybe it´s too expensive... now there are many other APV of the second and third generation for example of General Dynamics in Switzerland/ Swiss...
