Richard uses Pearl drumkits, either a black Pearl Prestige Session 9 piece or the Pearl Custom Z 8 piece drumkit.

He use Sabian cymbals, mostly the AAX series, Vater 3A Fatback Drumsticks and Vater Practice Pads. He also has a Roland VDrum Pro kit. He uses Aquarian Drumheads, and Axis A Longboard Drum Pedals.
