yalll need to stop hatin on St. Anger, was written during a time of major turmoil for the band. That whole album's rough drums and raspy voice were meant to bring out a feeling of anger and rage in the listener, because that's what James was feeling. For example, Frantic is all about this anger at yourself for time wasted. The raspy voice also brings you back to Kill 'Em All when you could barely understand him.......so stfu they allmost broke up during this time

Even though St. Anger is clearly not Metallica's best album, it's not bad AT ALL. This is the best song in the whole album. Now I know that people are gonna argue with me but i think that Metallica's best album is Kill 'Em All.

Kill 'Em All is just plain heavy metal to make you bleed out of your ears and that's why I like it so much, because it's raw hard, heavy Metal and that's cool. :)
