Anyway, Kreator is absolutely amazing. I agree, Slayer's music seems to repetetive and not well thought through, while Kreator's songs sound like they worked years on them. And it's not because I do not like slayer and I only like Kreator... I mean sheesh I listen to classical.

Nooot really. Maybe this album is a bit melodical, but Kreator played true Thrash back in the day. Maybe Megadeth and Metallica was a bit melodical. Kreator was brutal and aggressive, just like Slayer.

However, Kreator played a lot of genres through their career. They even have a Gothic Metal album called Endorama, it's pretty good, it's my second favourite of them to be honest.

There is in fact quite a bit that Kreator has over Slayer, starting with not having to listen to Tom Araya's crappy vocals, as these are a bit better. I also must admit that the riffs are more imaginative, in my opinion, than Slayer's, as each song just sounds the same and has the same style to it over and over again.. and on an end note, Kreator's solos are actually good, not garbage Kerry King solos where it just seems like he's just strumming as fast as he can/improving/while using the whammy

It depends on taste and how you like your thrash. Some of their older stuff for me (like early 90's and 80's) is hard to get into because the quality is awful. Especially on Pleasure to Kill. But You can move on backward slowly and start and pick for yourself. There's violent revolution vid here. And also Endorama. A different approach they took but not bad.

Violent Revolution, then Coma of Souls and Extreme Aggression which are two of the finest thrash metal albums ever recored, and unlike the really early albums, those two have very good production.
