  • Ein toller Film und ein tolles Lied.

Das Lied paßte auch zur Serie Sex and the City. Eine tolle Liebesgeschichte zwischen Carry und Big.

  • Georgia boy Johnny Mercer, my huckleberry friend. Nobody makes lyrics as well as he did. RIP

  • "My huckleberry friend" They don't make lyrics like this anymore. Love this. Thanks

  • I must say that this song to me is one of the most classic movie songs of all time!

  • What a wonderful song. It is so sad that people reject such music today. It is so sad how we have fallen as a nation. Thanks for the memories.

  • Wonderful song. Makes me think of Angels In America!

  • Muzika prepuna nasih zivota.

  • I love this song. It was my mom's favorite song as well as my sisters favorite song. Even after 34 years, Imiss you mom. Everyday

  • i'm bothered that in some scenes and certain angles, she looks like 13, not 32

  • Perfect autumn song!

  • Is this Audrey Hepbern`s singing?

  • @naskosareva NO!

  • I try never to say the best but it is just classss, morrissey does a unusual version which i also think is classic.

  • One Dislike means One person has no taste in music

  • Nice key change, right where the chorus comes in.

  • wow...my god

  • I watched the movie yesterday. What a beauty! Why didn't I watch it sooner?

  • @cloudjia Just think--50 years and the movie, cast and song still stick in the hearts and minds of all who remember it.

Please, Hollywood biggies, don't even try to remake this.

  • @cloudjia After all, Mr. Mancini composed the beautiful haunting music, and Johnny Mercer contributed the memorable lyrics.

One of the most beautiful movie songs, deserving of its Academy Award for Best Original Song.

  • This is one of my most favorite songs ever! It has a childlike & innocent tune, but it's the most romantic song I've ever heard! I imagine a child living life in the countryside when I hear this piece! Henry Mancini is my favorite artist & composer! I swear, someday, I'm going to walk down the aisle to this song!

  • WHO THE HELL DISLIKE THIS SONG?!?!?!?!?!?

  • befor my time but a great tune

  • I grew up on the Ohio River in the 60s! Need i say more? The most beautiful sight in the world...moonlight on the river

  • sometimes i reallly wish i could have been born in this era just so i could be more exposed to this type of beautiful music !

  • @cloudjia Yes! thank you for writing.

  • Phil Collins?

  • @kapsi No, that is a young Henry Mancini. :)

  • Simply beautiful. Thank you.

  • @billwright331 Thanks for your note. best, david (from my new channnel)

  • Have you all noticed there are no "dislikes" in this song? :) I just say that.

  • @guisauco93 You're right, there are none... just a guess, but I'd say that for most people who are inclined to listen to this sort of music in the first place, it would be, by definition, impossible not to like this melody.

  • @classicvinylbiz now there's one "dislike" :c

  • I remember getting for Christmas the Henry Mancini album of his greatest hits & this was one I played over & over, never getting tired of it. Hearing it today took me back to a happier time. Icing on the cake is hearing Andy Williams sing it.

  • Aloha from my Moon River on Kauai.

  • @kauaiphil Aloha!

  • que maravilla

  • @Stefandurr Which is exactly why there are 0 dislikes.

  • Shouldn't that have been "nooM reviR" in the Hebrew post? Jus' askin'.

  • Thanks, "Hank" for this beautiful song.

  • what a lovely chap, that Henry. My all time favourite song..

  • Audrey Hepburn epitomized class as an actress. What do we have today? Lindsay Lohan in and out of rehab and stealing jewelry!

  • @TonyMaximMuscles You are so right! It seems that true class doesn't exist anymore...how very sad. How nice it must've been to live in a time when women were classy, beautiful and feminine...and PROUD of it!

  • this melody makes me feel that world is not at all a bad place to be... the good old times come back and everything is possible again..

    thanks for posting this!

  • @EliskaStarostova I like what you wrote, thank you... david (from my new channel)

  • No me cansaré de escuchar este tema nunca.

  • sends shivers down my spine. I am yet to hear a more haunting tune and the incredible beauty of Audrey, her association with this whiff of pure pleasure makes it a all time great!

  • Somethings never change......this song got my attention in 1961, just as it does today. One of the most beautiful songs ever recorded on tape then pressed in vinyl. Thanks!

  • Definitely one of my favorite songs. My mom introduced this song to me when I was little. It's such a beautiful song. The music, the lyrics. The best.

  • it is and always will be the most beautiful music ever written for a wonderful film

  • I was walked down the "aisle" (a big winding staircase in an old bed and breakfast) on my wedding day to this beautiful music. My father and I came around the corner of the stairs and into view with the swell of the orchestra at 0:35 seconds. I get chills every time I hear this song.

  • I attempted to post the CORRECT info on another recording. I told them JOHNNY MERCER wrote this song. It said "the post is under review", pathetic !!

  • On the first album I ever bought, (around 1964). At 20, in 1968, I was on a boat in Tahiti with several people my age and we sang this song. My ticket was paid for by my motorcycle accident. Originally from Texas, I spent the 70's in San Francisco/Marin County. The 80's in the Virgin Islands and now back on the island of Kauai for 9 years. Follow your dreams. Aloha and Peace.

  • I'm too young to have this song as soundtrack of my childhood memories, but when I hear it, I wish I grew up in those times , when music was still an art and could touch everybody's soul and heart.

  • Beautiful song! I play it often. Brings back good memories of my childhood during a more innocent time. The only song my ex didn't seem to mind me playing over and over and over!

  • Truly an all time classic.

  • wonderful! I love this song!

  • cazzo sta canzone proprio a mia sora la dovevano assegnare ke palle

  • @bronzesel: Yes, and 100's more great songs, the man was a giant...

  • The opening notes of this song, just take me back to a better place, a better time. My mom and dad's favourite song, just makes me want to laugh and cry all at the same time.

  • @deeprose4 Hi, very well said, I think I know what you mean. best, david

  • This is the music i used to hear all the time in my family House when I was a Kid and I am a woman a still I get transport to the time of my Mother And My aunts In Havana Cuba

  • @corigladys1 Thanks for that, I like to hear these kinds of stories. best, david

  • He also did the Newhart theme...didn't he?

  • "I'm not Lula May anymore, Doc. I'm not....."

  • " I love you, Lula Mae."

  • Sem palavras!!!!!

  • I really love it <3. I'm 22 years but now fthe music is so different :( . It's a classic.

  • @NewYork8802 yeah i'm 17 and I love this music

it's too bad, they don't make music like this anymore, what a shame

  • @GR4C3W You make it. Why not?

  • Gosh, I love this song. Makes me want to go back in time when I was a child. Kinda has a sad "tone" to it. Great video. Thanks for posting. Audrey Hepburn was a classic beauty.

  • Love it.....!

  • ♫♫ Fabulous song ♫♫

  • why can't they compose stuff like this today?

  • @maxresult Because "they" don't exist anymore. ;-)

  • @classicvinylbiz, although quite sad to read, your statement reflects the reality. Good old days are gone... Best wishes from São Paulo city, Brazil.

  • @maxresult theres no real romantic writers in movies any more a real shame .........

  • @streetwriter0 Right... with some exceptions, very little is left to the imagination. Some think that that is progress, but when we hear music (and I mean "music") like this, we begin to realize that perhaps we have not come as far as we think.

  • So very lovely.

  • wonderful video I love this song :D
