Conviction of a cop killer - they rewrote the scene so all the cops had to whisper - because Jerry had already lost his voice - that priceless voice - to his cancer - I had this episode saved for years - so glad it's here, to remember the last words Jerry ever said as Lennie Briscoe "they got him!" Eternally and deeply missed.....
@maxreger100 No, that was when "Lennie" retired from the station. the next season, Lennie went to work as a part-time investigator for the DA's office on "Law & Order: Trial by Jury", which starred Bebe Neuwirth and is where this clip came from. But by then, Jerry Orbach had been diagnosed with cancer and he was only in a couple of episodes before he died.
@pywacket12 Thank you so much. Of course i should have realized this was not an original Law & Order episode with Bebe Neuwirth as the D.A. Never saw this show.I'm so glad that Lennie could muster the courage to go down swinging.
He was so gifted and such an amazing man....... He made that show what it was.... and it was one of the reasons I watched 'Law & Order' He will be forever missed
It would be awesome if they could show this in our country. I have watched Law & Order featuring Jerry Orbach all these years. It would be my honor to be able to watch his very last episode before he joined our Creator.
0:28.. sure looks like him. *shrug*

Man he looks terrible here. Him and McCoy were the heart of the show.

This is the show where the tenor of the dialogue had to be changed: everyone had yo whisper because mr.orbach could no longer talk.....

I thought Jerry's last show was when he packed up his gear and left the police station? Can someone help me out on this?
What a guy--singer, showman and consummate actor.

He was so weak all he could do was whisper so they rewrote the end of the episode to make it work.
