@gloryofistanbul most horrors were either sequels, remakes or low budget direct to video affairs. hard to pick a really decent one between them to be honest.

Except THE THING agree with everything, especially QUARANTINE 2. Haven't seen STRAW DOGS yet, but really enjoyed MOTHER'S DAY and I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE remakes so looking forward to this. Now THE THING. While not a total wash-out, the CGI monster effects are lame compared to the Rob Bottin effects in 1982. And to be honest it was those effects that made the first film.

@TheLonelyImmortal no I was thinking more of the original novel "I Am Legend". I would say the story is comparitively slow to the Will SMith movie, but more entertaining.

I was a little disappointed to see that Chillerama didn't make it on your list. Of course, it is possible it's not yet available in your country. I suggest looking into it, though. It's a horror anthology in the vein of Creepshow, but laced with humor and a lot more self-aware and irreverent. Truly a modern classic.

I thought Red State, Wake Wood (excellent pagan horror), and Kill List would have been on your list.
