Once your gallbladder is removed, bile flows directly from your liver into your small intestine, rather than being stored in your gallbladder. You don't need your gallbladder to live, and gallbladder removal doesn't affect your ability to digest food, although it can cause diarrhea that is usually temporary.
@jhVn04 Yes it does. I had mine removed and my digestion is TERRIBLE now. I don't have enough enzymes. it hurts everytime I eat. I am worse off since my gallbladder was removed. Your assumptions are wrong especially if you haven't had yours removed.
Would you know what kind of clips are used when removing the gallbladder. I noticed one clip stayed in the body. Is it possibly that any of these clips can cause a person elivated Protein C Levels and severe pain for years to follow. are they titanium clips? thank you.
I think I have gallbladder issues, the symptoms are there, so I will see my doc. In the meantime and I going to change my diet and see if that offers relief, if not then the next step, but eating healthier won't hurt me that's for sure. I brought this on myself by not taking care of myself, it's a wake up call from my body.
I just found out from my doctor (one of the top doctors in the world) that I can't eat a lot of oil from now on, or fat. I had to cut meat from my diet, which makes sense because I can't digest fat like I used to. Please let people know out there that we are prone to heart disease now if we continue to eat fat, as we don't digest it. I was told I could get heart disease within 3 years if I continues to eat oily foods. I should have rid the gallstones naturally, and yes, it can be done!
you are right newwindwolf..the condition to which you are referring is most likely biliary dyskinesia.....also after gallbladder surgery, the bile is no longer stored but goes straight into the intestine
there can be more problems with the gallbladder than stones. im only 17 and i had to have mine taken out cause mine never worked and was makeing me sick. when they took it out it looked ok from the outside but inside it there was a fold almost diveding it in two restricting it.
