the virtually identical surprise shouldn't be.. if it aint broke dont fix it, the original hardware is killer, the keyboard thing is just a matter of use and you'll love it... otherwise the original is a killer phone...

no need to go and change too much stuff, i dig the new phone, the hardware upgrades are sweet, however i'm not upgrading from the original :-)

Some small cosmetic changes I noticed that weren't mentioned.

Bulge around headset jack removed, USB bulge reduced, backing above the battery door is now a single piece compared to the previous two, the "lips" on the back of the phone have been flattened down, and the camera lens has moved to the left of the flash. Lets hope they moved the camera to accommodate a higher quality sensor.

Although the lack of a "killer feature" is disappointing, I can appreciate Motorola's attention to detail.

I got my Droid 2 months ago, and I'm so glad I did! I'd rather of had it all of this time than not, and just wait for the Droid 2, which the only improved thing is that it has a faster processor. I honestly also like the color scheme of the Droid better, the black and gold is cool, and I don't like the black, silver, and blue on the Droid 2. And for the keyboard, I've found my Droid's to work perfectly, so if you want the Droid 2 cool, but its not must better than the original.
