So, I haven't seen this movie other than that scene, but did that last bit seem like the guy was using the whistle to scream "F*** YOUUUUU!" to the fighter pilot?

And Burt did all of his own stunt work as usual. The scene in the rail yard when the low level bomber hit it was done in one take

Great scene...from an exceptional great film! Great view from the plane as it's dive bombing!! Maybe Frankenheimer's best film which says something...and Burt is as great as ever!!
