Black moon stone? I didn't know about any black moon stone. Now I gotta go back into that bloody place and find it. That dark rift gives me the willies and not the good kind. Thanks again for this. The sooner I get that discovery the sooner I can get on with the rest of the game.

This place is the worse.

The red portals kick you out.

Then you have to start from the beginning.

The music is just eerie.

Without the music of the random battles I'm not actually sure what to do.

U should really use more Aikas spezial attack: Lambda Burst - makes ^the little battle a lot easyer and quicker ;)

Thank you so much for uploading this, brought back so many fond memories...my favourite rpg experience of all time. If my DC hadn't died i'd still be playing. I agree with tips, I think the black moon will be in the sequel

Is this the Dreamcast or Gamecube version? On my Dreamcast it seems that random combats are much more frequent.

Gamecube. Most people usually know because they always tell me the music quality sucks. Which is true compared to the DC version but it's not awful. I think the random battles were dumbed down in the GC version.

It should be a much more enjoyable experience then, despite the poor sound. It gets really annoying when you barely have time to look around - you know that the next random battle is right there to own you in the face.

@ArcadiaLegend Indeed, and also if you have the White Map item equipped on Vyse, it decreases random encounters

I used to hate this place because i got lost XD Also when you go through the portal things it scares me XD The music here is really mysterious though and poor Robinson :(

Yeah, this place kinda freaked me too. When you find the black moon stones and look up you see a giant portal that looks like it's gonna suck you in.

The music in the Dark Rift was always my favorite, and I just loved this area in general... even if it was a tad frustrating. It gave the game so much more atmosphere and made you realize that not every Air Pirate was super successful like Vyse... some of them had broken hearts and broken dreams :(
