you can buy used equipment.... just make sure if anythings broken you know how to fix it... or can get it fixed. if knobs are missing, whatever... just as long as the channels work and you'll be ok to start off with.
you can swap out faders now days with aftermarket parts that will enhance your mixer even if your mixer is brand new. the slopped faders on all the faders offered are going to take 10 - 15 minutes to get use*
