  • i might be gitting a rabbit for my 12'th birthday......i want 1

  • mines rabbit is 100% potty train, it took me 9 days to train her

  • My holland flop eared rabbit is jenny...she so lovable thank u

  • i start training my rabbit... and i use hay and he poops in them already!

  • Very much THANKYOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • my rabbit's name is Peter

  • has he got a broken leg

  • @OHMSstudent thank you :)

  • @BluOceanBubbles thank you :)

  • Hi, my rabbit doesn't eat hay! I've tried all types, but he just won't eat it! Help please!

  • @Agnesstation sneak some hay in with carrots and pellets thats how my friend did and so did i

  • @Agnesstation Rabbits will often not eat their hay if you are giving them too many pellets. Make sure you only give him a small amount of pellets once a day - an eggcup full is enough. If your rabbit still won't eat it, try different types of hay from different stores since some hay is tastier than others.

  • ALSO info about care for a rabbit!!

  • Hi,

I'm Haylie, and i'm buying a rabbit soon. I am looking all over the internet for info about what to feed my rabbit. My rabbit is a baby Rex rabbit that is black with a white arm and chest. Any1 please tell me were to find info for what to feed my baby rabbit. Oh btw my rabbits name is Rumphis OR Rumple, yeah they're pretty weird names lol! THX!!

  • @Warriorcatsrock543 The main part of your rabbit's diet should be hay - hay should make up at least 80% of his diet. You should use Timothy or meadow hay, NOT alfalfa because this is too rich. You should feed him on a pellet food (not muesli) that is high in fibre - 19% fibre or more is good. I also recommend choosing a rabbit food that is specifically for younger rabbits. Only feed an eggcup of pellets per day.

When your rabbit is 12 weeks old you should start to introduce fresh veg.

  • @BluOceanBubbles Thanx soo much i learned something today :( I feed my bunny too much pellets!!! Ikes im scared now... will he be ok? And i feed him a bunch of hay per week i gave him a little wood bed for bunnies and i put his hay in it.Also can u tell me how much hay to feed him? Cuz your smart :)

  • @Warriorcatsrock543 Bunnies should have unlimited hay available 24/7.

  • @Warriorcatsrock543 He'll be fine; just make sure you start feeding him only an eggcup full per day (though you might want to cut down on the pellets gradually). Pellets are very rich so rabbit's only need a small amount. :)

A bunch of hay per week isn't really enough - rabbits need unlimited hay, so you should supply him with fresh hay every day. So just make sure he has a constant supply of hay (don't worry, hay won't make your rabbit overweight).

Thank you, and good luck with your rabbit!:)

  • @BluOceanBubbles I should thank you more!!!! I now shall give my bunny hay!!! Wait... I shall go buy my bunny some hay!!!

  • @Warriorcatsrock543 Hi,

I'm Daria I have a 1 year old Rex-Albino mix they are so cute his name is Buz I will useally feed him Hay or carrots and celery glad you want one! :)

  • @OHMSstudent thank you i was just about to see if u actually feed bunnies carrots. Ya thats a stupid question btw thx!!!!

  • what if my rabbit is over a year old? will this still be possible?

  • @wjJa56 yes but it will take longer

  • my peed on me now :( thats why am here

  • My rabbit had cedar shavings in his cage. When we tried to litter box train him with kitty litter, he would just lay down in it. Caused quite the mess when he got out! Finally we put some cedar shavings in the litter box and he finally caught on to the litter box while he was out running around.

  • lady stop blinking! also, pine isin't good for bunnies. The bunnies eyes are adorable :3

  • Whats wrong with it's leg? :'(

  • weird my rabbit came trained o.0

  • Is it okay to aspen shavings for bedding and litterbox ?

  • @OMFGILoveDrake No. Apsen shavings are very bad because when they come into contact with urine the shavings release harmful toxins - shavings are also uncomfortable and dusty, so can cause respiratory problems with rabbits. Bunnies don't necessarily need bedding; you can use fleece blankets instead. For litter you should use recycled paper bedding like Carefresh or Yesterday's News.

  • My rabbit poops where he wants...

  • CUTE but HUGE EYES!!!

  • a rabbit is an exotic animal?

  • my rabbit has pellet food so if i use pellet bedding is she gonna try and eat it, and if she does, will it hurt her??

  • ur rabbit is so cute i find ur videos helpful im also so glad that i have a vet 2 blocks away from my house its easy to get more info that way

  • instead of training your rabbit, you could have it in a pie!

  • **Need Help? Go to allpetcare.webs.com and ask me a question, I'll reply in less than a day!!

  • @rufiebooz i believe its a dwarf hotot. :)

  • its BUGSY!!!

  • what breed is that rabbit. anyone know?

  • I didn't do any of this stuff, I just put the litterbox in the cage and he learned to use the litterbox. XD

  • Does that rabbit have three legs?

  • my rabbit ate the newspaper.... what do i do?

  • @applerules100 haha thats normal mine r always ripping up their newspaper and chewing at it

  • @applerules100

change there bedding because the ink is very bad for them

  • My bunny won't do anything when he doesn't get his citronella pine wood shavings. You just have to watch for high quality shavings they use for horse-boxes and such and don't smack the top on the litterbox (if you even want to use a top) immediately.

Aside of that, another reason not to use the clay clump litterbox-stuff, rabbits tend to eat them, and yeah, even in the stomach they clump together and you can all guess what happens next. And they dig in them. XD Leaving your house one big box.

  • You CAN use PINE wood shavings

  • @agfan098 no you cant idiot

  • i dont understand how both top comments are the same

  • Y is this here this is not about rabbits

  • I got my rabbit litterbox trained in two days by putting her crap in the box for one day and she is fully box trained ;)

  • Why is the bunnies eyes so big?

  • @WaffleCakeSyrup Its a hotot bunny, it has black fur around its eyes making them appear large

  • @Italian97Girl her name is sarah and the bunny's name is halibut. listen just one more time.

  • I use wood shavings lol my rabbits fine

  • Can I don't buy a litter box for my rabbit? Is that ok?cause I think they'll do everything in their cage

  • can i use newspaper? cut the newspaper and just put inside th litter box

  • Bugsy is a ginipig

  • That bunnies eyes creep me out!

  • @gagaxxxbaba they were prob drying to sort out who is boss males aren't usually kept together as far as I know, I don't know if it's different if they are from same litter but better bonding them with a girl

  • @the mga93 it could be fur mites maybe rabbits get bald patches in hard to reach places if they have fur mites, ours got them between the shoulder blades and lower back, treated with a spot on treatment for a few weeks mate to kill all eggs

  • hey what if you feed a bunny a lil bit of marijuana?

  • @JayyKehd You're stupid.

  • I think this is the most informative series expertvillage has ever put on youtube.

  • is that train as you can put hay stuff some where else in the cage and the rabbit will still poop in the box or you still have to put the hay in the box and the rabbit with always go in the box

  • i have 2 rabbits both male i tried putting them together for some company and they just started fffking each other so i dont think they are going to put together again and yeess both are male too???

  • my male rabbit developed a complete bald spot under its' chin...is that normal or should I be concerned?.

  • Cutest girl ever and she loves rabbits , my future wife !

  • My rabbit just litter trained himself.

  • my bunnies eat the same pellets that you are showing in the litter box that weird......

  • @jakethejack2002 it LOOKS like food

  • @NailBunny101 what is it then?

  • @NailBunny101 it's recycled news paper. she said it right in the video...

  • Um well firstly, timothy hay, is good and all but I wouldn't suggest putting it in a litter box, considering it's where they um crap. They could eat the crap accidentally if you don't pay attention while there shitting*pardon this language* and then they eat the timothy hay, they could end up eating there crap, nice try, but I wouldn't use timothy hay in a litter box.Timothy hay is good to train rabbits tho,I've tried carrots and fruit but my rabbit listens to me when i use timothy hay,.xD

  • @stephanieguedea Its normal for rabbits to eat their own droppings

  • @Ksflippy That's pretty much what I was getting at...

If you put hay in there litter box, they could accidentally eat there own droppings..I've seen it happen, it wont harm them but if you ever see a bunny eat there own droppings, it means there not getting there nutrition food like they need. That's all I was simply getting at.I'd put the hay outside the cage so it's more comfortable in it's surroundings.

  • @stephanieguedea bunnies will eat their own poo occasionally. it keeps their intestinal bacteria and vitamins regulated. if they are doing it a LOT is when it becomes a concern.

  • @YugiohGeek123 well i guess if u can use it for hamster and guinea pigs im sure u can have it for rabbits

  • @YugiohGeek123 mmmm i think u can but be careful what wood shavings u buy cuz i had a friend u got a hamster she uses wood shavings and he had a screched hey im sooo sure u can use wood shavings cuz it covers the smell off poos lol

  • u can use wood shaving

  • my rabbbit uses a litter tray, i use saw dust and hay i have never used litter pellets . i think some rabbis just do it any way i put a rabbit litter tray in her courner where she usuallly does hher bussinness and she just automatically used it , she uses a cat letter tray now because she is too big for a rabbit litter tray now !!!! xxx

  • I'm trying to litter train my rabbits, and i'm putting down newspaper. My only concern is whether or not they are using soy based ink or not? One seems to think they may be using a vegetable based ink, but I'm worried that the newspaper may bother them.

  • Holy crap, its eyes are huge !!

  • @MrDinosourRAWR lol it's not really the eyes, they have an "eyeliner" around theiyr eyes XD

  • dont crap were you eat obvously that saying didnt come from rabbits

  • does deficate mean take a shit?

  • @khunopie yes

  • @khunopie Yes.

  • help? my bunny uses the litter box, but she poops everywhere else as well. i put her food next to the litter box, and she sits in it ALL THE TIME and just eats and does he business as well as sleeps. what do i do to make her poop ONLY in the litter box, but spend time outside of it as well and know to go in there to do its business???

  • @aviswifey1808 keep trying. I'm in the same boat. I love my bunny so much, but she has been very stubborn about this potty training buisness.

  • @aviswifey1808 Sometimes rabbits will do this as a form of marking their territory. Do you have other animals in the house? My first rabbit was completely potty trained until we got a second one; then she started pooping everywhere else.

  • @KeenaHyena mine too!

  • look how big the rabbits EYES AREE!

  • @markwahlbergsgirl ITS BUGSY FROM BEDTIME STORIES!!

  • When my rabbit feels like going. I say "toilet" and he runs to the potty cage and takes his business. I feel happy he does that.

  • My rabbit goes in the cat's litter box when he is running around outside his cage; cat not so happy! :)

  • I had two rabbits. One woudl wait outside her litter box and look at me angrily and come over and nip me if i didnt clean her litterbox within 5 mins. The other would simply be like thumper. She would thump the litterbox and flip it over thereby forcing me to clean it lol!

  • That's awesome that you put these together - could you please do one on bunny proofing your home? I can't stand people that cage their pets 22/7!! My wife and I made an awesome 15 square foot cage for less than $100 and she knows its her home...we let her out all the time when we're not working and she absolutely loves our cat. Happy bunnies make a happy bunnytoes666!!!!

  • i use shredded news paper but her pawz got really dirty so i switched to just regular shredded paper is this ok

  • We had some sort of drop. Wherever we use that drop that's where our dog and rabbit poo and pee.

  • when my dad was a kid, his family had a couple rabbits that would go outside to relieve themselves. All they had to do was leave the front door cracked open. The rabbits would go outside for a minute, do thweir business, and come back in to lay down.

But every animal is different. :)

  • Cr*p. I have used saw dust for the past 2 years for my rabbits cage would he have gotten a respiratory problem?

  • Funny, I just put the bedding in the box and he only went in there... I didn't have to encourage it or anything.

  • so hard to litter train rabbits:(

  • @Hrko1992 ya life seems alot more fun and and cuter if we were rabbits ^_^

  • @Hrko1992 just make sure youre a tamed rabbit not a wild one that wud suck cuz i myself would hunt you and your kind lol

  • @fireflyms he is just too lazy to move it lol!

  • post man pat, post man pat, post man pat and his black and mostly white rabbit

  • What a precious bunny...!

  • You gotta watch those back legs. They will scratch the hell out of your arms if you're not careful. Don't believe me? Do it. Just don't complain the next day if you look like you got into a fight with Wolverine.

  • @southport97 i agree. i've been scratched really deeply by a rabbit that kicked off my hand for no apparent reason :( it wasnt uncomfortable or anything but it just reacted violently out of the blue.

  • Is your bunny a hotot?

  • Hey thanks for the video. Hopefully my rabbit will learn how to use one, she can be so stubborn when she wants to be. :)

  • @expertvillage i have owned rabbits for 10 years now and they are very easily litter trained. I have 1 rabbit at the moment, a juvenile and it cannot be litter trained, I tried the picking up and placing the rabbit in the litter tray method. Moving it's faeces and urine into it too. Nothing works and she poos everywhere in the house despite her litter tray being available - and not just to mark areas. Help!

  • I have trained my bunny to go to the toilet.

  • Maude is in that stage right now. My friend,Whitney told me.

  • you can't use pine liter either! Its poisonous to them.

  • THE RAAABBBBITTTTT OMGOSHHH ITS SO CUUUUTEEEE I WANT ITTTT

  • I never litter box trained my rabbit, but he pees and poops in one place. Strange..

  • @watashiwa100 why dont you try putting a litter box where your rabbit pees and poops maybe it will have it in the box :)

  • @x1emu1x Ok. Thank for the advice :]

  • I getting a bunny when my mom at home! :D

  • A good short video on how to litter box train a pet rabbit. Rabbits can live in the house like a cat or dog. They are very clean and will soon use their litter tray. Give your rabbit a special spot in one room with food and water and litter tray nearby. They like a spot near a glass door where they can see out and take in some morning sun.

  • My bunny already knew how to and he was raised in a store so mine is smart right?

  • huge fuckin eyes but nice fuckin fish

  • talk about crapping where you eat .....literally

  • @xxporingzxx yeah, i know...

  • @xxporingzxx lol

  • what's wrong with his leg =(?

  • @Nyraira its expert village isnt it, so this animal is abused

  • @Nyraira He was laying like a cat on his side lol so his leg with just kinda hanging out there.

  • @thebaddestt

Based on the house rabbit society website... it's helpful to start in a cage with a litter box and when the rabbit comes out of the cage have one or more litter boxes in the area where he is playing. I have 2 5-6 wk old rabbits and am choosing not to keep them in a cage. I have two litter boxes ( I use a large plastic tupperware container). I use Carefresh Ultra with Alfalfa Hay in there with it. There are still some accidents but they are young and will learn.
