Michel's family is well known in his hometown for having a special talent for music. If you have a talent, you should follow it. Imagine that Michel was in med school and stopped it, he decided to choose the music as his main career !!!, Thank God he did it!!!, He is great!!

Michel Camilo is from another dimension. I had the pleasure of witnessing his artistry last week at Caramoor. Seconds after he began to play and literally melt the piano, the crowd erupted in a frenzy. He and his trio received an extended standing ovation after the very first song. If you ever have a chance to see him - YOU MUST!!!

I totally agree with you: he is amazing.

One thing though, he did not literally melt the piano; however, he may have metaphorically melted the piano. It would, however, be amazing if he melted pianos as well as playing them.
