  • awsome truck!!!!!!!!

  • sweet what the mileage on that

  • 375,000 Miles.

  • sorry i meant fuel mileage

  • Around 14-16 MPG.

  • that aint as bad as i thought it would get

  • MPG all depends on what kind of gearing you have, this truck is very low geared so the engine turns pretty fast going down the highway 60mph=2100rpm you can get another truck with higher gears and it will be something like 60mph=1500rpm.

  • i see how that works now my dad says a bunch of complicated thing that i dont understand thanks

  • aw the good ol Ford F250

  • nice man its running strong, lots og high mileage 7.3's around where I live, wish I could get them all in one video, I know of about 5 or so of the top of my head, not including yours.

  • nice alt gauge lol got to love the rust wait till u get thouse new injectors

  • Still goin like a champ!!! :DD

  • do most diesels only rev up to 3-4 thousand rpm?

  • This one stops at 3300 RPM. All these big diesels don't rev very high, smaller ones go higher, like VW diesels.

  • 0:17 kind of happened to me the other day. I shut the tailgate and a huge chunk of rust fell out of the tailgate. Oh well, rust adds character!

  • Built Ford Tough... So the title says final cold start... what ya going to do with this old beast? Ford's don't die...

  • Final cold start with old injectors.

  • how old are the injectors in it now? you should notice a difference with the new ones

  • They have about 160,000 km, that's about all there good for.

  • Ahh yes.. That sounds like a good plan!

  • Started pretty good for those crappy injectors. Should start almost instantly with new ones, though!

Oh noes! Is that truck falling apart? D':

  • nice video, brother. not enough cranking, but nice LOL

  • JESUS! dont slam the door like that man your gonna lose your floorboards or your frame :P my 85 gmc isnt even that rusted but the owners kept it away from salt :D

  • Nothing else can fall off now, everything is gone lol

  • yea pretty much. how old are those glowplugs in there? mine are the factory originals and they all work. they just glow in the midde instead of the tip so they dont work as well to get it started. hopefully this winter it will be gettin some new self limiting glows.

  • Originals!!! with 250,000km on them, man good plugs they were! These have been on it for a couple of years. Did replace 1 last winter.

  • yea im surprised they work too. but its getting harder and harder to start everytime so theyre slowly dying. now i know why theyre the factory ones is because the previous owner didnt run this truck in the winter time.

  • That would also explain why it's not rusty.

  • yea that and i wont drive it on the highway when its right at freezing. i only drive it on the highway when theres no snow on the road and its really cold so no salt kicks up on it. otherwise i drive it on the backroads as much as possible.

  • I hope you at least have a little fun in the snow ones in a while though, 4x4 truck man :D !!!! Get it rust proofed, i wish my dad would have done that from the start with this one, it would be in way better condition.

  • oh jesus i have to have fun in the snow. when i restore it im gonna undercoat it and other stuff.

  • Yeah same here, can't never get enough of snow!!!! I love snow but hate the cold lol. That's what i'm gonna do when I resotore mine, get it rust proof and undercoated every year!!!

  • i love the cold and the snow. i hate heat with a passion. main reason is you can always put on more clothes to be warm but you can only take off so many.

  • I swear one day your gonna hop in and that seats just gonna hit the frame haha. You seriously need a side grinder, a new floor pan, some fiber glass, and some paint or else your trucks gonna look like Dave's half master!

  • Kinda already happen a couple of years ago lol, we fixed it with a piece of ply-wood.

  • haha! Man if I lived in Canada the 78 would be toast. Crispy toast! here its just the cab corners and bed, not the frame or floor.

  • Frame is in great condition, but body is gone all around lol.

  • Ha. Thats good. Once its gone, cut up an old long buick or olds car body (80's model) and glue it on there, then get a big car haulin trailer and throw 2 cars or a tractor on it, then pull it around just to screw with peoples heads!! Haha, I'm crazy like that, I will go through truckloads of work just to mess with somebody.

  • HAHAHAH same here, it's just good ole pointless fun :D

  • Can't beat an old Ford diesel!

  • how many miles?

  • 375,000 miles.

  • rusty but nice truck man lol a ford will allways start up

  • damn those injectors are noisy! Also i never knew your truck was that crispy, trying to make yours like Dave's?

  • lol it's already as bad, just doesn't show it as much, we did a few little redneck repairs to the floor with some sheet metal and ply-wood.

  • When you said sheet metal, i was thinking "Oh thats not THAT redneck", then i read the plywood part and.... Nice. lol

  • Starts well considering!

So you're gonna put new injectors in, eh? Stockers or are you planning on something different?

  • Stockers.

  • ok dont make fun of me cuz i dont know. but y do u gotta let that light turn off and then start it? wat is it doing?

  • It's a "Wait To Start" light, it warms up the glow plugs to help start it, a diesel engine doesn't have spark plugs, diesels fire by compression and heat. Glow plugs warm up the firing chamber to start a cold engine.

  • thats a rusted pig alright

  • You should see what it looks like under lol

  • i can only imagine

  • started alittle rough aways depend on a ford!

  • Nice!!
