  • how sad

  • Money, money, money! No humanity

  • The move ''The Bang-Bang Club'' is out now. It's based on João Silva's book.

    Peace and Love People!

  • why is it that the english guys are always liberal and the same with the media?. I never believe anything that comes out of an english mans mouth its nothing but bias, subjective , liberal bullshit.

  • The Bang Bang Club movie was pretty good. Very sad movie but portrayed the four friends well, including Kevin Carter.

  • Amazing, isn't it?

The guilt that can haunt you, after you profit off a suffering child whom you left to die.

I can find no sympathy for him. Even in death he remained a more fortunate soul than the child in the photo.

This man went easily, resting in his truck, not crawling through the dirt, hoping to make it to salvation.

  • im helping a fellow friend (photography student) put together a project about Carter, doe sanyone know some more vids and and where i can get some good iamges of him and his work? thanks a bunch.

  • Rest in peace to the little child who died a horrible death alone.

    Kevin Carter rest in hell.

  • @BoxKickboxMMA how can you say that? kevin has shown us how bad it is hunger in other parts of the world. what have you done for them? whether the effect as good as done Kevin Carter?

  • One of them who couldn't carry those heavy sorrows that life brings along sometimes but before he left he left us an image that forever will be stuck in my head. Rest in Peace Mr. Kevin Carter.

  • God bless you Kevin you have touched my life with your story and opened my eyes to what is real i hope your in a better place free and happy xoxoxo

  • oh, an thanks so much for posting this video; its the only one i can find that actually has Carter on himself talking; really appreciate it

  • these 3 fags were part of a gang.deal with it u vaginas.they never had a prob attacking preg. women . study and then laugh a these guys on their knees.

  • cant stand all these 'he deserved to die, he left that poor helpless girl out to die' ignorant comments so get these facts: 1) all photgraphs are taken at an ANGLE! from the one he chose, you couldn't see the food centre (less than a kilometer away) where her mother was getting food. The common practice was for the mothers to leave the children out of the way wile they got supplies. Had he moved her, he could've caused a LOT of trouble and confusion.

    2) he chased the bird away.

  • @LuvRemyanJack Even if he hadn't, they eat DEAD, not sick or even dying things. The girl was not dead, therefore, the bird was not a threat (intereting that others had taken simular photos that did not raise as much controversy.of course, none of them had vultures in the frame.)

3)Workers at the feeding certre are certain that the girl made it. In any event, Joao Silva, who was on the assignment with Carter, says that she was visable from there. She would've recieved help had she been abandoned

  • @LuvRemyanJack 4) They were warned during that time against contacting any famine victims for fear they would become carriers of disase. Does the risk of carrying one child UNNECESSARILY and infecting 25 people sound reasonable to you? It does not to me. Greg Marinovich says that in situations where they felt measures had to be taken, they had trained professionals pick up and care for children, but he could never remember actually directly contacting one himslef.

  • @LuvRemyanJack (srry for all the comments)

    5) After, he apparently sat under a tree and cried for some time, swearing never gain to throw away food, no matter how bad it might be, and saying that all he wanted was to hug his daughter. Frankly, the man was not emotionally equipped to deal with his job. Sometimes all of us run away from situations we cant deal with, even if we feel we're wong for it an it haunts us. If we should all kill ourselves for it, humans should be extinct within two days.

  • @LuvRemyanJack the man realised that blacks knew who u are, devils.god says it in the bible, read ass carter statement,he is tasting the flame, suicide, lol he did the right thing.follow him

  • @LuvRemyanJack if i start a fire and then put out that same fire,am i a hero?lol.devils

  • @LuvRemyanJack the fate of those who trust the enslavers of their children.

  • @LuvRemyanJack the point is that the photo shows the vulture stalking the child, anticipating death. The vulture affirms what our human arrogance would have us rather not believe, a human susceptibility to nature.

  • @LuvRemyanJack his people r the birds of prey.his people put her there, can u overstand?

  • fuck him, he deserved to die. i hope he rots in hell. i don't know why you people have any sympothy for this guy.

  • @Cgilbert1187 In all fairness what could he have done? He and his friends had been told numerous times not to touch the children because they were thought to be diseased. And if he helped one child then he would have to help the other kids around him, and if he helped them he would be expected to help everyone else. What was he supposed to do, save the whole of Sudan? He probably did more by taking the photograph. It's not like he thought fuck you i'm going get rich from this, he did feel bad

  • @Cgilbert1187 You sicken me with such a disregard for what Carter did. That shot did more for the cause and to raise awareness which is why he was there. How dare you say he should rot in hell. You bastard, thats all I can say. Rest in peace Kevin.

  • @jjionner any1 that commits suicide goes to hell

  • @Cgilbert1187 Why would you say such a stupid thing? It a shame it wasn't YOU who committed suicide. WTF have you ever done to make your mark in the world? You're a loser who still lives with mammy and always will. Carter was a f-ing legend.

  • @Cgilbert1187 because we were thought not to care 4 self but to care 4 them and their children, that is why no one cries 4 the child, but will cry 4 his child.self destruction

  • He didn't let the little girl die; he had haunted the bird -after 20 minutes, i agree- and then he carried the girl to the feeding center.

  • Learn to save someone not let them die. I bet if he took a picture of the vulture eating her he would still win....

  • This is the 1993 coup in Bophutotswana, a bantustan in apartheid South Africa, run as a separate "homeland" to put black people in. when President de Klerk began dismantling apartheid policy and began reintegrating SA, Bophutotswanan rebels backed by the AWB, an Afrikaner supremicist group, executed a coup, which was put down very soon after with aid from SA police, and Bop. was reintegrated. I have simplified things quite a bit, but thats the gist of it.

  • very sad........hope you found peace ..........

  • @slappedcheek why u fuckin think u cunt.........fuck off and play u cunt

  • why did he commit suicide? :)

  • @useurcamera this was merely one incident. he was always taking photos of executions, famine and disease. he then became famous but had no money. haunted by the memories of starving children he drove his car into the river he used to play near as a child. sad story though eh?

  • Hes a coward

  • He is a dirty bastard. I hope he is rotting in hell as we speak. He won the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography after taking a picture of an emaciated little girl that was being stalked by a vulture. He adjusted his camera took the picture and left. To me he was an animal and a waste of flesh and breath. I can't think of anything worse than what he did. He, and all that support him, should feel the pain of what that poor girl went through. Peace out.

  • @edome14 Fuck you! you have NO idea what you are talking about, get your facts straight you piece of shit!

  • Edome is right, don´t try to do of this guy a martir, he was a coward when he leave that girl there (the vulture pics). Stop living vicariously, it´s easy to be in front of your PC feeling a lot of passion about this guy´s life, but get real. Este carnal estaba fatal psicológica y anímicamente, solo da pena y NO causa admiración. Quien crea lo contrario lo invito a vivir una guerrilla en la selva, o el terror del narcotrafico en mi país, fucking bubble of the first world.

  • @sickboy466 why did this guy win a Pulitzer prize again?

Watching a kid die and leaving the scene?

  • @MeAndNot3 he chased the vulture away in the photo, and eye witnesses said the child had enough strength to get up and walk to the red cross center a 100 yards away...please this man is dead, show some respect

  • What would you do? Personally, if it was me, i would also take the photo. This photo showed what people are going through; especially in central Africa. Besides, its not like she was gonna survive anyway, and even if she was, there would still be thousands of other starving children taking her place.

  • God bless the Bang Bang Club!! Kevin you're a legend we all strive towards! RIP.

  • Kevin Carter made me become a photographer.

  • @basscasey no way...something tells me ur joking hey

  • Kevin Carter´s life and death will always intrigue people everywhere. It makes us think about human nature, politics, personal drama and so. Besides the documentaries about him and and the bang-bang club, I hope someone produces a non-hollywood-schema movie, someone like Michael Winterbottom.

  • he did level the scales

  • His suicide note said: I am depressed ... without phone ... money for rent ... money for child support ... money for debts ... money!!! ... I am haunted by the vivid memories of killings & corpses & anger & pain ... of starving or wounded children, of trigger-happy madmen, often police, of killer executioners...I have gone to join Ken if I am that lucky..

  • good vid. thanks for posting

  • For the full story on Ken Carter and his group of photographer friends, get the book called "The Bang Bang Club". It deals in detail with just that question... and I think you could say that people asking him that question all the time is ONE of the reasons he committed suicide.

  • The book offers a range of possible reasons for Kevin's death, not least of which was his increasing drug and alcohol dependency, and his unstable private life...

  • @mishima1970 : ENVY???? FUCK YOU!!

  • @Bignosetw best book ever. i never thought i could read it all the way through, but i finished it within a week. i love how they made everything so easy to understand; i've always had a hard time with history. i really wish i could meet those guys.

  • I've seen the price winning Pulitzer picture with that child which was crawling to the United Nations foodcamp and the vulture waiting for the child to die.

I've heared that after that picture 3month after he commited suicide of depression... But one thing i don't know why didn't he helped the child?

  • He only thought abt helping the child latter, when every one started asking him "where is the child now, what happend to him/her" he was left with the guilt and hence for killed him-self!

  • please watch: the unknown toddler

i made the film the other day it explains what happend to the child.

  • if you think about it, it wasn't really his responsibility to help the child. the rest of us on earth should point the fingers at ourselves for allowing the situation to happen in the first place, instead of expecting one person to change it when they didn't even cause it.

  • please watch: the unknown toddler

i made the film the other day it explains what happend to the child.

  • Cool thanx! I will

  • Maybe by taking that photo he helped hundreds if not thousands of starving children. I know its hard to accept but that photo saved lives. Too bad Kevin had to pay the ultimate price for it.

  • culum's film noted that carter was warned against touching the child for fear of disease, and regretted it.

  • I did'nt know abuot him , courageus photografer, he and his friends
