Would it somehow make it more enjoyable I did my best to not use a single clip that was also used in their trailers? It's not like I've just grabbed their trailer and threw music over it. I had gigabytes of captured footage from DVDs that I sorted through to compile the whole thing. I fail to see your problem.

Youre right, many people don't realize that it takes more to edit footage in an interesting way using existing footage, than just using movie clips in a very obvious way. Personally Ive watched this years before and I still enjoy the way its paced.

It had started with single tracks i liked like these used in the video (Preliator, Arcana, Lacrimosa) but later I felt more and more hungry for epic music. I think my only complaint is that it was too long to be considered a trailer of any sort. At like three or so minutes it would have been believable, but then it went on for another four minutes, and it's like "Oh, this looks nice together, he/she did a good job."

Well, without Star Wars, there'd still be a LOTR. The books came out long before SW. But nobody would attempt it because everyone deemed the story impossible to produce. So without SW, without some of the inspiration, technological breakthroughs, etc, it might have taken more time before LOTR came, or another director might have done it, or it might be different from what we saw. But I think it would eventually come. In any case, I'm glad PJ did it and it turned out great.

I forget if i commented before so I'll just do it again. You managed to take all the emotion, action and incredible cinematography of these movies and condense it down into 1, 7 minute piece. You drew parallels between the movies, captured some of the best quotes and made a piece so well edited it is still awe inspiring even after revisiting it after so many months.
