  • I take it that the fuses blew before the driver got out? Lucky for him.

The power is obviously off during this video, but some guys in a bucket truck are already working on it so I'm sure they would have shut it off if it wasn't already off.

  • I guess that locality should have made sure their lines were at federal regs. which is 14 foot. Most mixer trucks are only 13 foot tall. That was totally not the drivers fault.

  • i love cement trucks

  • ouch they must have cut the power because i dont see any arcing.. thats an unlucky cement truck... it must have cut the power faast or the drive would have been french toast

  • Alas I let time pass & not feed into this lady magoo's (NissanDriver15) repugnant & laconic obfuscating garbage. The lady must have raisins in her head or perhaps she's going through her period. For the video purposes, it's good to know why things happen so that I & others can learn from one's or others' mistakes altogether. I once had a relative that work for Southern California Edison that was involved in a very graphic fatal accident where his co-worker's head was severed by a power-line.

  • People of whom drive Nissans can't drive straight nor can act straight. Youtube should remove losers like this nebulous lady - I'm old fashioned American - Chevrolet for life!!! American muscle cars for life!!! Maybe this pathetic cuntface of whom is 15 broke in and drove this cement truck and snagged the wires. This loser can take its rice-burner Japcrap and go blow herself all day with her non-sense I'm not even arguing and I'm being bombarded with some lonely lady's lugubrious absurdities.

  • Runaway Rail Box Cars, a police officer commandeering a patrol unit responding to a vehicle pursuit or emergency of which upon vehicle's ceased progress and the exit of said driver of whom in his or her haste neglects or forgets to secure vehicle in "PARK", large construction cranes that are spun around erratically or suspended cranes tossed about whereas such is so due to intense winds VEHICLES OR MACHINES CAN MOVE ON THEIR OWN UNDER GIVEN CIRCUMSTANCES LADY. GOOD GRIEF. Talk about stupidity.

  • Maybe a good moment to put al those wires underground.

  • Minimum overhead line clearence is 14ft. The highest concrete truck I've seen is 13ft. 5in.. Semi trailers are 13ft., 6in. It's not the drivers fault. Obviously the lines were lower and the truck snag a drooping wire.

  • elitedata - why did the cement truck cause this in the first place?? Driver error??

  • @DetroitLove4U No dumbass, the truck drove itself into the fucking powerlines.

  • No SHIT SHERLOCK - do you do proctology exams for fun too pansy ass? Do you ever hear about drivers not properly securing their vehicles lady schmuck? Should I give you a lollipop for your worldly omniscient shade of sub-generic brilliance? Your cockamamie reply can go right back up the apature it shot out of where you do all your talking - your well-poked ass & next time you have something intelligent to say try using your INTELLECT better then let it flow out your mouth for a change. Kiss Off.

  • Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer. ;)

  • Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer ................... hey Miss. Potato Head - Read the comment in the form of the question I placed - I DID NOT ASK YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE MISS DYSLEXIC. In your case it's real germane simplicity to your unyielding callous mediocrity - give a stultified reply to a person of whom seeks no retort from you to begin with and thus your asinine absurdness elucidates your ineptitude with your defensive unfounded subsequent remark. Lady - get with it KISS OFF.

  • I like how you're forming these long, drawn-out paragraphs of replies to my one-sentence comebacks. Do you care that much that you're losing an argument on the internet?

  • You seem to think that I truly give a rat's ass ................. but like the pitifully obsessed lady you are you can't even READ TO COMPREHEND in the first place. I guess you answer any and all questions. You stated "comebacks" yeah I guess that's what you do with a lot of your male customers of whom give you pennies on the dollar for your hogwash. Get a life. Get off your computer and get a job lady.

  • You seem to be hellbent on thinking I'm a lady... Sorry, I'm a dude. ;)

  • The mere thought of you being masculine is like the mere thought of George Bush being a GREAT President to this country. Get a life. You fail. Pull yourself together and move on. You came and bothered me and you endeavor to further do so. Typical of ladies - always have to be right with an arrogant stance. Kiss Off.

  • Right, I'm the immasculine one and you're the one who let my one-sentence get to you, so much to the point that you have to write long, drawn-out replies to my simple statements. Go change your tampon, you're being kind of bitchy.

  • You and your computer go Hand in Hand as does your arrogance. Speaking of tampons - yours are as dirty as your mouth which is your freaking Arse!!! Who started this - yeah LADY YOU FAIL. You bothered me loser ass cuntface. I've been showing you my humbleness. Nice to see that you have comments pending approval on your page - bet you block a lot of people when you insult them. I make time for real women not transgendered computer Internet phenoms like your twisted cunt.

  • Lucky for you, I haven't blocked you. This is too fun! What other schoolyard insults have you got, besides calling me a lady and telling me to kiss off?

  • at least no one was injured/killed in the incident

  • The driver is lucky to be alive after all this. I know of a mixer driver that was electrocuted and killed when his conveyor boom touched a 32,000v power line.

  • it says in the description that they're not powerlines but telephone/cable tv/fibre optic lines

  • um "3 phase primary lines" is also listed in the description.. that would be power

  • @ontgen24 Sigh. I guess the mixer driver wasn't actually electrocuted until he got out of his truck, right?

As I understand it, if you ever drive into a hot wire you should first try to back out. If you can't disengage, STAY PUT. If that's not possible (like if your vehicle is catching fire) then you stand on the door sill and jump away with your feet together -- but not so far that you stumble. Then bunny-hop to a safe distance.

  • Taking a short-cut?! :*)

  • look at the mess you made!!! driver...i think you should be a dispatcher instead of a driver. clown.

  • If you look carefully at the closeup of the slanted pole behind the truck, you can see that 2 of the 3 line fuses are blown. Most likely this would render the primaries dead. But better safe than sorry.

  • Oops ROFL

  • smartest thing to do is stay in the truck, you would have the same potential energy as the power lines and not get zaped, the second you get out and become grounded you die.

  • i bet that was fun!

  • yeah.

i waited several hours for the electricity to come back on.

apparently, the driver of the cement truck was totally unaware it snagged the line until he saw part of the pole swing in front of him after it snapped off.
