  • i want a sword named after kratos

  • @whizkidnic You can access our website to submit custom order quotes. Thanks,

  • Any sword named after the God of war is obviously going to be amazing, but this is even better than I was expecting! Well done!

  • @TheMoistCamel Thank you.

  • AWESOME

  • @KahunaSniper Thanks.

  • that is a nice sword, im gona make a bronze version of it

  • does battle ready mean its sharp???..as in "battle" readiness ? how sharp is that?

  • @robert20351 batlle ready means its ready to go into battle dont know about u but i wouldnt go out to fight in a battlefield without a quality edge on it

  • @robert20351 battel ready basicly means its a real sword and not a wall hanger like 90% of all swords you see, most swords the blade has like a 6inch screw coming of it and they slide on a handgard handel and a fancy bolt at the end holing it all together witch is fine if its hanging on your wall but real sword, aka battel ready is most the time 1 solid peace of hi carbon steal so its not gona fall apart the firts time you wack a tree a human head or another sword, dont mind my shit spelling

  • Beautiful!!

  • @BlackGatchaman Thank you.

  • I'm new to ancient war culture, but what separates this xyphos from a Roman gladius?

  • @Omatusano im pretty shure the roman gladius was made shortly after

  • @Omatusano Gladius was mostly a stabbing weapon, this has a tip that widens to the end, indicateing that it was used for strikeing.

  • Xiphos= Ξίφος

    pronanse

    X = Ξ

    ph=φ

    Ξίφος means sword in Greeks

  • This thing is awesome. I love Spartan history

  • @baconeater007 Thanks. Yeah, me too.

  • @LivinInAptos Oh, did you get all your knowledge of the Spartans from 300? The Spartans were Greek. In fact, the fought side by side against the Persians.

  • man you cant tell me that this sword isnt devastating man the bellies on that blade has not one sweet spot but two wow how can somthing so devistating be so beautiful call me crazy but that thing is beautiful

  • @synRdave Thanks for your kind words. I appreciate it.

  • @synRdave ur not crazy and i agree

  • @ArcherOut Thankyou but i actually want a customized percy jackson sword. If thats possible? If not no big deal ill just get this one

  • percy jacks0n sword

  • Just saw your new Fighter Kurkri and it is sexy as hell.

Heads up, besides the work that I will be talking to you about soon, I have also directed a few friends to you to get some sword/knife work done.

  • k..i want 1 ..i need 1 ...

  • I love the look and power of this type of sword.

This one and the Lakonian I both like quite a bit.

Your site says you do custom work, would you make these with some modifications?

Also which would you recommend more for close quarters, the Xiphos ? or the Lakonian ?

  • @Revangelic By far, the Xiphos would be what I would choose up close and personal. Yes, I can customize the sword for you. Just e-mail me your changes and I can get back with you: scorpionbow@yahoo.com. Thanks, Chris

  • again 5 stars I love you work!!

  • just one thing, xiphoses were held at the right hip, not the left :P

  • @Gjergji311 mate actually it was held at the left hip so they could easyly drow it with the right hand...

  • no offense, but don't talk about stuff you are not sure on... it's much easier to draw a short sword from the right when you have a shield on the way... especially because most hoplites had the spear as their main weapon and the xiphos as the back-up weapon for close quarters. The Greeks, the Romans, and even the Norse drew their swords from the right...

  • You are wrong, only the Romans were known to have used it. Just looking at statues and paintings will show you that Hoplites fought with the weapon on the left hip.

  • Hi I've been looking at your website your Spartan Lakonian Sword seems solid as a rock slices and stabs perfectly. I was wondering how this one measures up? Because im a bigger guy and the lakonian would look laughable . This video doesn't show much of it action wise as your others If you have such a vid that would be awesome ! If not I'll take your word. Is this Xiphos typical of the era or modifed a bit cause it looks different but sweet!!! I appreciate your advice and thank you for it .

  • Thanks for your comments. We didn't do a demo of this one at the time, because the one we were using for the video was ordered blunt. However, I can assure you, that if you want it sharpened, you can all but shave with these. The Ares is definitely bigger and my absolute favorite. Thanks, Chris

  • whats the song i want to see if i can download it

  • Sorry toot65. We typed in Greek songs on youtube and found it. Not sure of the name. Just really liked it.

  • The song is "Dance of the Satyrs" by the wonderful group Daemonia Nymphe. Not one of their songs is dissapointing, and I'm sure you can find quite a few places to download them, if not send me a message and I'll share. :)

    Mike.

  • Thanks Mike. It does feel good in the hand. Chris

  • Really nice looking finish on that blade... not too shiny... just right!

When are you gonna do some more bow vids,Chris? Your bows are awesome!

  • Thanks Ed. I'm making too many swords right now. Not getting many bow orders, which surprises me, the way the economy is. People are going to have to hunt with their bows:)

Not that I'm complaining. I love my sword making and glad to have the orders. Thanks, Chris
