I have had a Venus for over a year and it works wonderfully for me. People who say it sucks and doesn't work haven't taken good care off it. If you keep it in the protective sleeve thing they send with it when you aren't using it it will be good, just take care of your phone and you'll be fine.

to be honest, i really hate this phone. I've had it for about a year, and am probably gonna switch to at&t to get the iphone. The reason why i hate it is because it is only have touch screen, which i thought was cool at first, but after a few months i longed for a full touch screen. Also, I got it just when it came out so it was $250! I don't recommend this phone, there is no point to get a half touch screen, just spring for a full touch screen

There are a lot of LG fanatics out there. I have always had bad luck with them. So far after a few weeks with this phone my only complaint is even if it's on vibrate if you accidently hit the voice command button in class it will still make the noise. The sound quality is MUCH better compared to the VX8700 from which I upgraded from. Touch screen is pretty cool too I suppose. This was a free upgrade for me, It goes for around $200 w/ a 2 year contract. In my opinion that is extremely overpriced.

Well, three days for me. My last phone was in my possession for five years (also an LG). So the Venus is a big step up for me. Never had a problem with a cell phone in my life. I highly recommend the Venus, but its a phone that you could drop easily because of the way you hold it when open and typing.
