"Punchline" was a great album released too late. It was grunge 2 years after it was hip. Same problem with "3 Sides", it was released two years too late.
Has to be Gary's best vocals I've ever heard...just amazing...check him out on the "Amazing Journey" set with Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Paul Gilbert (Mr Big, Racer X) and Billy Sheehan (David Lee Roth, Mr Big, Steve Vai). It is a tribute to the Who and it is amazing......
Def Leppard? I would rather want to call some sort of hybrid between grunge and Jane's Addiction. Great, but Gary's voice could be even grittier. Anyways, it's a shame that Extreme don't explore more of this side of them. Instead of lame-ass-"star" and "more than words".
extreme rock ! nuno told me they were getting back together when i saw him touring with satellite party in manchester. great guy, had a beer with him and he even called gary cherone up and i got to speak to him too. Can't wait to see them back together as extreme again. Peace.
