Kid, I've been listening to punk and going to shows for ten years so name dropping a bunch of bands isn't going to impress me. And yeah, that's romanticized bullshit. That sounds like something that would be printed on a t-shirt you'd get at Hot Topic. Punk is ALL about the scene - it's about supporting independent music and putting on shows. It's not some stupid ideology or a set of beliefs. That's what caused all the division and killed the national punk scene.
