The Yurt becomes a traditional museum of sorts - we can see the plastic wrap, the machine landscaped grass, the clothing manufactured in sweatshops, the cinderblocks, steel fences, porcelain ware and plastic. As beautiful as they may be, these people are a reminiscence of themselves - yet perhaps they remember much more than we managed, rat cube races do in the thoroughly Industrialized regions.
@moseskz The job of the government is to facilitate the transformation of beautiful Kazakhstan in a client state of the Global Informatic Industrial Bureaucratic Capitalist regime. The prerogative will be to seize, extract, deplete, destroy and desert the territory - they'll leave in their wake a soulless, distributed, prepackaged, motivationless, polluted, exploited, overworked, or overliesured (depending on who you are) life covered in concrete and sewage and call it "development".
These kazakhs remind me american indians in amazonia Brasil or other parts of Latin America. Interesting. But real urban kazakhs are different of these ones. I was in Almaty.
Most europian countries too small to have distinctions between people of the same nation. Among kazakh it is common that urban people or people from southern part of Kazakhstan look different from those living in north or east although it also very common among kazakhs to have relatives in other parts - mostly inlaws.
what?? These are kazakhs that live in mongolia, who actullay managed to keep kazakh language and culture the way it was in the past. And i dont know based in what did you decide that these are half mongolians? You probably know nothing about kazakhs. Do you understand kazakh at all? Listen to them, they use purer kazakh than we do.

The gold hair guy could be the Fool in Assassin's Quest from Robin Hobb (very badass and kind character, my favourite).
Very nice music btw!

I recognize these places. It must be Kosh-Agash district in Gorno-Altaisk region in Russia. I have been there. Ragged but beautiful place
