I like how the first part of the song slowly melt and from the soft substance of chaos a whole new song is being created. Every second here is vital for the complex feeling.
to me this is more art than most music because it brings you into a thousand different lives, even if for only one song. There is no way to "get" this stuff and not feel a deep sense of connection.
I'm amazed to find that I like this song. It's so different from what I usually listen to, I'm a little blown away. I'm probably going to spend the rest of my day youtubing songs from The Books.
I love this. It takes a bit of getting used to, but once you fall into the "rhythm" of it everything just becomes so much nicer and calmer. Gotta love any piece of music that can do that!
I love this band and have seen them in concert twice. The different instruments, and arrangement, intercut with what is found footage. I guess it helps that I'm getting my degree in sound design. I also love Stars of the Lid.
this really is a cool, artsy kind of song. really .. mind-blowing, almost.
pcindirellie, you probably really like the books (obviously) and i know you want to defend your music, but honestly it's not up to you to decide what people put on here.. if someone doesn't like it, then it's their choice to put that on here. even if it hurts your feelings, that doesn't mean you need to say that their input it "ill-thought out". keep it to yourself.
@pcindarellie people say things like "I don't get it" as their way of asking for help. You don't have to help people figure it out. Other people will do that for you.
@pcindarellie how dare you share rewards of infinity with Savages... know not your painted seat? It's numbered right next to the plaque with the itile of Grand Humpalump of hephalump...Row B in lot Infinity next to the pink Cadillac with 2 tires flat we carry big words like Authority to distract from insufficient Neural Love rocket's development and purpose in efficient perfection move Along Here... its just a crazy man Threatening to jump... nothing more to see
@pcindarellie hi i like books, harry potter is good, and so is twilight. wtf your video had nuttin to do with any of those above non-fictional characters. Who is dis bitch?
@ShadowCrashed81 no you can't...well you could....but even the simplest of songs require skill and memory, fuck off.....trying too hard? really cause i can REALLY show you bands that try to hard to be weird(this is too beautiful to be called weird) but listen to nuclear rabbit....that still doesn't change the fact that i love that band, the bass is fucking sick as shit....the lyrics crack me, and i love the humorously weird vocals, if music can make you laugh and be happy then it's good music!
@CanadianCutie1018 do you see not the hypocrisy of the Absolute truth declaration that only the recipient of your Declamation, thus its intended subjugated focal target of origin, is affected by your perspective on the color and quality of the light through the dingy gauze, and it cant be possible that the "declarator" must "redeclorate" too ... since he went and changed everyone's carpet the drapes don't match teh bookshelf anymore.
I know everyone gets defensive of their favorite music, but honestly there is nothing inherently wrong in just plain not liking the song and wanting to make that known. There doesn't need to be some deep reasoning behind it, just let people say what they want.
ohboy, was a hard challenge to think of both things at the same time, but I love this music anyway and was a nice try from you. I guess we need the flow of images once more, anyway...
The Books should be more popular than they are. Although, i dont think i would like them as much if they were super main stream. Terrific music none the less
is it really kt tunstall? i dont know if thats right. honestly this is one of the best songs of my life; one that when im 80 ill think back and still feel the same way when i listen to it as i do right now
will miss The Books...

@swams0 I just really dislike the whole song.

@swams0 maybe it's those first 50 seconds that make you enjoy the rest so much. without those 50 seconds, the song wouldn't be what it is :)
