@BritishTributes if you go back a little bit further it would have been family favourites on the `wireless` and spam for tea (no fire ,coal was rationed)
Remember going to see them as a child at the Liverpool Empire Theatre in the late 70's in a panto, I was around 8 or 9. Mum always managed to get seats right at the front every time we went. Because Mum kept laughing really loud, Bobby came down from the stage and sat on my mum's knee - WHAT A GREAT MEMORY - IT WAS SO FUNNY!!
Legends. Saturday nights were fab with them on the telly. Have seen them live so many times, the latest Sept 09. As we were leaving the theatre Bobby was also rushing out, but stopped to chat and kiss my mum(79) He was lovely, it really made her night.
This remids me of sat nights as a kid.Bathtime at 6 then pyjamas on and usually egg chips and beans for tea. Then in front of the fire and watching cannon and ball on tv.What great nostalgia it takes me back to carefree childhood days longone now !
just finished watching them on dvd live at blackpool with my 9 year old daughter. she laffed her head off! good family fun! rock on boys and come to birmingham!!
Total Legends. :-D Iv Got The Same DVD, Went To See Them A Couple Of Years Ago, After The Show Tommy And Bobby Met Everyone At The Door And I Got My DVD Autographed. :-D Its Really Cool.
i'm looking for a vid of these 2 singing wind beneath my wings or just the audio will do if anyone could put it up for us. i have it on record but i don't have the software to get it on my pc. cheers!!!
I use to watch these two every Sat night when i was younger, they are LEGENDS!!! put them back on t.v now. it'l be better than the crap out there now!!
Brilliant, such happy, happy memories:) Thanks for posting.
