For some reason, I think the Prototype armor suit is a beefed up version of the Mark I Powered Armor shown in the new graphic novel based on the fall of reach. much of the armor and exoskeleton is similar, and it keeps the gatling, although its tranfered to the right arm, not attached to the back, as shown in Halseys journal from the Reach legendary edition.

I swear the best epside from that movie was Protoype. That one really gave the feel of what it was like to be a member of the UNSC Marines. I mean, they practically lost every ground engagment unless a Spartan was there. They were pretty much always screwed unless they outnumbed them greatly or had some new weapon to use on them. And it was the only one to make me cry because of what the war did to the guy.

@katanamaster996969 ya they are right in the storyline. the very first one with the arbiter shows when the arbiter becomes a rank of dishonor rather than one of the highest ranks. origins shows cortana talking about the forerunners when she learned about them on halo, but it occurs after halo 3.
