Well, what you have to remember is this. While we may be of scottish or Irish heritage, we are American. We do what we want, when we want, and how we want to. Our forefathers carved a nation out of the wilderness and generation after generation have bled to give us the freedoms the rest of you can only dream of. So when want to play the pipes, we do it the way we do it. It might not be your way, but here in the land of the free & the home of the brave, we really don't care what you think.

as a scotsman who has served in the scottish army and marched behind many many mass pipe bands i wish when other countries try to do the same i wish they would get it right by piping in unison together by having the pipe majors marching properly and not walking to stop wearing scottish glengarrys with irish jackets and playing scottish tunes when they wear irish dress the irish have never worn the kilt in peace time or in war its an american thing i love the irish dearly but please get it right
