Adam: Just a request: what about tackling one of the Seven Wonders of the (harmonica) World by taking us on a ride on the incomparable Roller Coaster (Little Walter) which was composed by Bo Diddley, I just discovered. A great example of an aptly named instrumental, too.
It's certainly a fantastic song. I think Dennis Gruenling is the guy to tackle this song, though. His version gets ALL of what LW does. Mine would just skim the surface.
You RoCK Adam :) this i vote is your best teaching Video, cept i play the guitar yet i've learned a ton listening to ya,.. i might pick a harp up one day .. )
I used to go see Kim play with the Thunderbirds back in the 70's in Austin. Saw Kim play at Soap Creek Saloon one night and he did some stuff on the harp that was just outright incredible for that time. He's gone to more traditional blues playing now but that night he was creating a whole new thing.
Adam, I like the message of leaning and listen to great harmonica music to be inspired to have it make a player have his own take and style. You the man Adam, and thanks for passing on your knowledge to all of us.
little walter used to start a phrase with the 1-4 in some songs too...

Hi There, Love your playing.
When you say 1-4 draw is that a tongue block on the 2 and 3?
kleinsbp 2 years ago
Yes. I touch the tip of my tongue lightly to the comb-section between holes 2 & 3.

Really Great Lesson Adam!!!!
Just let me correct something. On 1:38 you play actually quarter note triplets instead of half note triplets.
