Brilliant! I worked for a car rental company for 5 years, and we couldn't rent these fast enough. Demand always was way beyond our supply, while our tiny little toy cars sat and rusted on the lot. Before that my wife and I traveled the country with a family who owned an SUV, and it was so comfortable i slept in it more than I slept in the motels we stayed at.

I don't have any problem with low gas mileage; heck if I won the lottery the cars I'd buy would average 15MPG. I think it's just the absurdity of driving some ginormous tank of a truck or SUV, because you have1 or two kids and go grocery shopping with them. Sure as free people we can choose to drive anything we want, but that doesn't mean it can't be stupid! A Mom with her 1 kid thinking she HAS to drive an Escalade (but can't really explain why) is just dumb.

I think a lot of the whining about people not needing SUVs, or pickups, is from some liberal pukes who couldn't figure out how to use a hammer without an explanatory DVD, and therefore never need to carry home a piece of plywood or 400 lb of dog food. In other words, they are mechanically incompetent and have no real life, paying to have someone else do everything for them.
Shit, most of their cars wouldn't hold my tool box.
