  • what did bob hite say in the beginning of this? "Get off the ???? man, I don't want you to kill yourselves"

  • @MagicalSix "Get off the towers man, I dont want you to kill yourselves"

  • @crackpipa that's what I would've guessed but it sounded more like "tar" to me than "towers".

  • @crazyforblues1967 my friend i think your at the wrong place :)

  • Can't believe how into it Alan got.

  • Not many groups with two lead singers. Al Wilson had most of the talent. RIP Al and Bob Heit.

  • R.I.P Bob "The Bear" Hite!!!

  • LOL, he was Bear Hite cuz he was so fat in those days. He seems anorexic by today's fat ass standards.

  • @Amhlair haha also when he was asked what animal he would be if he could choose, he chose "bear"

  • @Amhlair LOL, it's true. And in the Seventies George Jefferson was mocking of Tom Willis who, for today standards, is almost slim :P .

  • Bear knows how to boogie

  • very sweet!

  • during the solo he plays his guitar like a retard dude

  • @Templer1066 ...expression to match the sentiment...

  • qu'est ce que j'ai pu danser avec eux whaou ça ne vieilli pas c'est super

  • What a great band

  • 2 people were too stoned to enjoy the music! :-)

  • Hear this song every day in my car on my way to work.

Makes life easier. Makes me happier. That´s a matter of fact.

Greetz from Old Wolle from Germany/Europe.

60 years old and still walking ...

  • Alan Wilson was unique.....he made his mark....then he left early.

  • superb!!

  • canned heat's best performance ever (blind owl's at least!) IMHO. I can watch this over and over and over and not get sick of it.

  • Oh MyGod Magic

  • blind owl was so nearsighted, that one time when he was playing at a wedding, he laid his guitar on the wedding cake because he didnt see it lol

  • Um, who's the "other" guitarist? He's pretty damn good himself.

  • @bobbytheK1234 We have here: Bob Hite: Harmonica/Alan Wilson: Vocals/Slide Guitar (Playing a Les Paul Goldtop)/Harvey Mandel: Guitar (Playing Stratocaster) and Fito De La Parra: Drums.

  • Canned Heat is badass!

  • Canned Heat is what Woodstock is all about shame they never were around long enough they surely would have left there impact on the music scene,

  • What is that white thing on his headstock? I thought Gibson Les Paul heads where black?

  • @jimihendrixfan2008 pretty sure its a leather cover you can tie onto the the headstock. it might have gibson writings on it or anything to nothing. pretty sure Christopher Guest has one on his guitar in Spinal Tap in one of the scenes. its basically a decoration. say to dress up the look a bit more

  • @LucifersArms666 Thanks man!

  • 10 minutes well spent.

  • alan wilson is god.

  • @DELLmark14 Have you read the book "blind owls blues"?

  • damn thanks, it's magic, especially the intro, On the road Againnnnnnnn !!

  • The best version ever !!

  • increadible! Thank you!!

  • INCREDIBLE!!!!

  • What a band! Sometimes you hear people who have that indefinable something that can't be put into words, because it's a feeling, and these guys have it.

  • This is the scene! this is the deal! this is music from another universe!

  • Ohh I`m so tired of crying..... Lord have mercy :)

  • one of the best blues band ever. i was up in the hog farm trippin my ass off that night.

  • My first vinyl album was one of Canned Heat's in 1969.

  • How amazing is Alan? he is Hot!

  • wow, never seen these footage before, what a great concert!!!!!

  • I have never seen Alan Wilson so animated before.Just brilliant.

  • Beautiful! Just beautiful!

  • yo bro russmon1204 : The United Nations of Canned Heat is the biz. Where can we find the whole woodstock performance?( I am a blonde, speak slowly please). Was anyone reading these comments actually at Woodstock or have seen Canned Heat live?

  • Thanks for uploading this. :)

  • get off the tower man dont want ya' to kill yourself ;) gotta love mr.hite for that one

  • LONG LIVE BLIND OWL !

  • @420BOYStv Hear, Hear, Blind Owl and the Bear really felt the blues like few others, They should have been inducted into the Rock & Roll hall of fame by now...Long Live Canned Heat !!!

  • @greenmean1 if you got a facebook there is actually a group called " INDUCT CANNED HEAT INTO THE ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME NOW ! " you should check it out everybody should check it out

  • @420BOYStv R.I.P Alan"Blind Owl"Wilson

  • i love the way this guy sings, ive never heard anybody sing like this before

  • I really hope they release the entire set one of these days. Every song is available on audio or video except for "Too Many Drivers At The Wheel" and "I Know My Baby" which are available except in muddy sound quality. But all tunes rock!

  • @willruddock The only Canned Heat song from Woodstock that I couldn't find is Let's Work Together...

  • @dobrotnik I don't think they played Let's Work Together at Woodstock. None of the setlists I've seen for their gig their include that song. All I know is that Henry was the one who suggested they play it in the first place but then he quit and Harvey ended up playing rhythm guitar on the song while Alan played slide.

  • So glad this version is back again

  • is it possible to get let's work together from woodstock? i haven't find it anywhere... thanks for this gem!

  • Oh man, this is so magic!!

  • Alan rocks :-) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Its amazing its hardly got any views. You need to give this video a more findable name. I've been looking for ages. Just call it Canned heat - On the road again and it will probably come up first when people search. Otherwise, Great video!

  • Great video! The only thing I dislike is the other guitarist (forget his name) is pretty sloppy, that solo if his kinda makes me cringe. Blind Owl is the best though!

  • @republiccommando2 Harvey Mandel. I don't really blame him though. This song was written to be a harmonica masterpiece. And besides it's only Harvey's second gig with the band.

  • glad you all like it

  • @russmon1204 I do like it but it's not in very good sync.

  • @russmon1204 Pure Magic! The Blind Owl's passing the following year left a void in music that will never be filled.

  • @russmon1204 Like it?! LOVE IT!!!

  • Bob Hite & Alan Wilson ARE Canned Heat

  • Thanks a lot for uploading this video! What a joy it is to see Alan and Canned Heat playing, "On The Road Again", at Woodstock! Alan seems really hot and into it.

I´ve been searching for this video for a long time and now here it is.

  • Firstly thanks for uploading this version! I haven't seen It on youtube before, I couldn't upload It myself from my blue ray dvd! great quality! thanks dude so much! could you possibly upload the Grateful Dead - Turn On Your Love Light, video from woodstock! they don't have It here and its a real shame man!!
