the darkness of kikyo I think is what made her like a real person, a real character, it showed me that there is no such thing as a pure saint, that for the pure kikyo to show herself in the end, she had to face her darkness, we all have darkness in our lives we must face

I think many people dislike her because she does bad things but it gave her character complexity. I find characters who only do good or only do bad to be boring most of the time. How about a character who can do both? Someone like Snape or Prince Zuko!

When he kills her he hopes that she would use the Shikon Jewel to heal herself, to corrupt it with her hatred for Inuyasha, but she chooses to die. So deep... Love Kikyo, can't help it

Am I the only one that sees parrallels between the lord of the rings and Inuyasha? They both are epic quests and deal with good and evil. What do you guys think?

@TheDavid2222 I don't see much of a parallel. For one thing, they are trying to put the Sacred Jewel back together more than they are trying to destroy it. Naraku has few allies and certainly doesn't have whole armies roaming the planet doing his bidding.

@greenlightpagan Cuz animation is for kids so nearly all animation characters is 'bad-rounded" characters---you can always predict their behaviors, that makes them not interesting for adults. I think most characters in inuyasha have no differences from changless background,they can hardly call "characters" cuz their characteristics r not developed. but its not case of kikyo. I see kikyo by chance and m addicted by her-- who leads me finished this long, terribly boring story.
