  • i need that fucking tool i broke 2 pairs of bb just hammering it in

  • should the middle spacer move back and forth inbetween the two bearings? or should it be snug inbetween the two bearings? if its supposed to move back and forth how much should it move back and forth? if i only use the one middle spacer it would move back and forth a lot so im wondering if i should add smaller spacers to the inside so it move back and forth less. thanks for the help

  • @butchimiller It should not be moving if you need to add a spacer and see if that helps and tighten it down as tight as you can

  • @ConnorSexauerFilms so should it be tight between the two bearings so it doesnt move back and forth at all? the only problem i see with that is not being able to get it out after its in...

  • @butchimiller ohh i now know what you mean okay its alright if the spacer between the two bearings if you mean the long one in the middle move. cause once you have your spindle in there it wont move.

  • @ConnorSexauerFilms yeah thats what i meant. should i just use the one long one? or should i use a couple small ones also just so it will move less?

  • Is there a difference when doing this with a road bike? If it's different, can anyone refer me to a video that would show me? Thanks

  • what if the spacer doesn't fit tight to the bearings?

  • @vtbeefyvt same

  • helpful vid - but did this guy forget to grease before inserting the second bearings, c.6.30mins???

ha, after saying it was the most important thing to remember earlier!

  • haha use a bit of wood and a hammer lik i did

  • after i put my bottom braket in can i then install my cranks and then am i ready to ride?

  • @1994lightbulb, it depends on the frame.

  • Can you install sealed bearings on any bmx ??

  • can u install bottom brackets to different styles of bmx bikes?

  • Hi I need a new bottom bracket and I want one like yours please can you tell me what type they are and will they fit in any frame? I really need help?

  • If you don't have to tool use a rubber mallet or put a piece of wood over the bearing and use a regular hammer. Common fucking sense guys. And if you don't have the tool just drop the spaced in there! You could move it with your fingers later

  • i have a 2010 eastern cobra. it used those rings with bearings attatched to em its not sealed. i hate it. can these sealed bearings fit it? im sick of always having to tighten these unsealed bearings

  • guestion: i recently purchased the stolen mob cranks for my bike, but my bb is the old unsealed shitty bottom bracket. the internal dimensions of the frame is around 54-57mm. i need to get a bottom bracket thats big enough to fit my frame, but also one that has a 19mm internal dimension that will fit my new crank's driveshaft. long story short, should i get one like the one shown at 0:52 ?

    thanks :)

  • @biddlybongbong well from what you say yes an american bb but do you know what brand your bike is

  • @ninjapicklez69 mines a custom but the frame is a specialized vegas (pretty shit i know) lol

  • Do you know what the outer diameter is on a mid bottom bracket? :s

  • @mysteryloser24 all mid bottom brackets are a uniform size at 68mm

  • @LukeBass100 Thanks. :)

  • reply ASAP! you know the tube spacer thing in the middle of your bottom bracket? do you REAALLY need it?

  • @vitalownage it is not NEEDED, but advised

  • @vitalownage If you don't use it you're just going to squish your bearings together and blow your BB out super fast...

  • i have a question: are 22mm cranks stronger than 19mm cranks? just wondering

  • @PyroJosh222 i dont think there is a difference mate

  • @oh cool thanks dude :)

  • @PyroJosh222 There's only a 3mm difference between them, so it's not like a 22mm crank spindle is particularly wider than the 19mm, so no, they're not really any stronger.

  • @mysteryloser24 cool thank you :)

  • forgot grease on ur other baring but thanks for the tips now i can put mine together :D

  • i really need help i have a x rated snare i dont know what the bottom bracket is

  • i always had a problem with doing this. i dont care if this isnt your video im just glad i saw it!

  • @jonbauer79 good to hear bro!

  • will it fit every bmx even really cheap ones?

  • yeah i need to know how to take them off :DDD

  • what are the components for that bottom bracket tool?

  • @jj95east you need a bike axle, or something similar, wide washers so the pressure on the bearing is even,

and two bolts. that will cost you about 2 dollars at home depot

  • what is the size of bearing

  • So how do you put in the middle spacer when you are useing a hammer??

  • hey can u tell me what parts you yoused to mack the bottom bracket installer

  • CAN anyONE TEACH ME HOW TO UN-INSTALL THE BEARINGS??? HEHEHE

  • I didnt know i was on RIDEBMX.COM i thought i was on YOUTUBE.COM

  • how did you make the tool to install them? because i want to go buy that to make it easy for my self. and to not risk damage.

  • thank you so much, this is the best video made on bottem brackets, you make sense and you steps are easy to follow thank you.

  • no how do you get it out is my ? lol

  • @INTHISGUYSAID hahaa dude i dont know either im guessing just a hammer and something to wedge inside

  • @21callum21 ahah

  • @INTHISGUYSAID if u haveint figured out yet u use a socket extension and hammer it out

  • glad i just ordered a federal ;)

  • Yea it did help thanks

  • It will not completely mess them up, but they may not last as long, hope this helped

  • But will it fuck the bearings up or not

  • thestuart123 to me it sounds like you haven't put enough grease where metal touches metal, sometimes its good for them to stay stiff though maate for like tailwhips

  • No the bottom bracket is all in my it's a little stiff when u peddel is that because there new bearings

  • thestuart123 when you say tight, is that when you are putting the bearings into the bottom bracket?

  • If the bearings are a little bit tight is

    That because there new bearings

  • can i install cranks with out pinch bolts on my bike even though the cranks that are on right now have pinch bolts. if i can do i have to switch out anything

  • you forgot to grease the 2nd bearing

  • @HolyGfunnies shut the fuck up seriously, its not me in the video to start with you tard and why be so god damn picky? its there to help you, obviously YOU KNOW to grease both bearings so why say it

  • @HolyGfunnies no he didnt. he greased both sides of the frame, thats all you need

  • @drummond72 I'm my opinion I believe that the spacer should, I guess be held in place by the bearings, so yes they should be touching, after all it is the only thing that stops your bearings moving while there is pressure on the cranks

  • My bearing spacer is too long, I plan on cutting it to the proper width. My question is, is the spacer suppose to be tight up against the bearings on the inside? If it's a mm or so smaller, is that okay?
