Great video! And two great bikes. I own a DR650 and a DRZ400. The rider on the 650 is showing some great riding skills keeping that pace. Thank you for posting this. Great riding!
Nice to see you rippin' it up with some enduro bikes! I live in Japan where every bike imaginable has signal lights. Even little KTM 125s. Looks like your buddy sets a pretty fine pace with the 650. Awesome video.
Great Video, East of Grande Prairie, but by Bear Creek... Not familiar with that area it seems... I've road at Big Mountain, the dunes and its surrounding area, both tracks, Saddle Hills, some trails by webster, perhaps have to explore out that direction.
oh yea trails around here go on forever as you may know, the whole bear river area is huge, boundaries are Bear river, wapity river and the highway, his Grandpa lived way east where the river starts to head south towards wapity.
I live in Grande Prairie, Northern Alberta, about 2 hours east of the mountains, and 5 hours from the rockies, these tails are on the banks of Bear creek east of town, thats my friends Grandpa at the very beginning
its so hard to find good riding in NY and when you do find a place for the most part the trails are short. I did find one in PA that went on and on had to turn back at 58 mile mark or push bake the bike.LOL
awesome video, although i am more of a kawasaki guy, i really do love both of the drz400 and 650's. Awesome bikes, even better song in this video tho!
for all the people that hate the DR650SE here u go... its not and never will be a full on dirt bike... but it can get u to those trails and have FUN... thats what it is supose to do and it does it well... mines on order cant wait to ride 100 miles on the street just to get to mountain trails and thrash...
is it how much more is the 650 than the 400, i would like thepower of the 650 but the handling of the 400, can u SM the 650 easy enough? i used to have the klr 650 it was excellent for the highway but shitty for trail riding. can the 400 sm keep up on the highway?
Thanks for adding the vid! Its pretty sick, I have a 04' DR650 and my dad has a KLR650 and we ride trails all the time. The DR650 makes for an excellent enduro! Even with enduro tires it hooks up well and has plenty of power anywhere you need it!
Nope, im riding the DRZ400 following my friend on his 650, he can boot well on that thing, he does not like its weight or tires for off road though. i know i would hate it. he is a strong guy tho so he can make the bike do what he wants most of the time. thanks for the comments, the song is Elton John's version of Pinball Wizard. awesome song.
Thats probably cos your a pussy and weak, just remember the DR650 is designed for 50/50 use, road and trail, you think you can do a better job then 190 million japanese and make a better bike?
It all comes down to how well you can ride to.
DR650 is nearly half the price of DR400 so go figure.
If your really into dirt riding buy a suzuki RMZ instead.

Proof that a good rider can ride anything well. Big bore old school thumpers still make great play bikes. Nothing wrong with that DR650.

The dr650 is very light for road work and very heavy for dirt. But it will do what you ask as long as you don't try to jump it.
The dr650 is the most fun I've had on a street bike in the 17yrs I've been riding. Cheap, fun, easy to ride. Guerilla commuter from hell.

If they added a bigger tank and the DRZ suspension from the factory it'd be a lot better.
