nice kid keep it up but be careful drawing like that it could end up being pretty painful...you should try some traditional shooting alot more fun in my opinion
The point of archery is to hit the target. As long as you hit your target doesn't matter how you do it. You can use a spoon for what is worth. Everybody has an opinion and they try to tell you their way is best because is best for them. You will find your way with practice. Keep it up. Aim small miss small.
Keep practicing and don't let the haters mess with you, and to all of the assholes that say very bad stuff to a kid about learning the sport of archery, you should really be ashamed of yourself come on its a kid? Wow
turn the poundage down about 10 pounds ya little dipshit. ppl like you give guns/firearms/hunting a bad rap when you have an accident cuz you dont know what the hell ur doing
Reminds me when I got my first recurve bow lol... I would aim it at the sky then aim towards the target. Just keep practicing and you'll be hittin tournaments in no time :)
It's cool! When I first started shooting my form was worse! I also had to point up to pull my bow back. I started at 65... at the time it was too much, so I went to 55, and now I am up to 70, where I may be for a while... I am comfortable at that weight. To all of you that are calling him weak, pulling a bow uses muscle groups that aren't used a whole lot. You would be surprised how tough it might be to pull back even a 40 pound bow!
@bonjoviman1000 HAHA thats what i was just thinking. read his lil bio thing up top and it says its his very first day shooting his bow lol dog coulda got killed
you shouldve started out with a recurve and built your muscles and form. try keeping the elbow of your bow hand bent just slightly hold it down as though youre aiming at the ground in front of your feet pull back with your string hand and raise the bow in front of you with your bow hand at the same time even if you cant pull it straight back keep as much tension on it long as you can this will build your muscles NEVER twist the bow or string as it can snap string or cam and hurt you badly
lol idc what anyone says, if you started shooting a bow at a young age at some point in time you drew your bow back just like that..form will come in time. i looked exactly like that at around your age and in my senior year of high school i was a first place district archery champ out of 300 archers..keep it up
I suggest you find someone with some experience to help you with ways to draw the bow using your body natural leverages and adjusting the weight so you can handle it. they hopefully can teach good shooting habits so this will be an enjoyable experience. wish you the best.
I have the Diamond Outlaw and it goes 70,60,50 pound no further down or up. Im a skinny 14 year old i struggle when i draw my bow back i have been looking for tips for an easier draw for me. Any tips, tricks, etc for me? If so please message me, Thank You
Wow, Sunshine, this is probably the most comments you will ever get on a video LOL!!! My brothers have really been getting into bow-hunting recently, so this is kinda entertaining!!!
Ok kid #1 lower the poundage I'm only 12 last year I cold only pull 45 this year I can pull 65 and I'm not talkin throwing the bow around like u I pull it strait back
#2 get some lessons cuz u never gonna see a deer like that
#3 go to a pro shop and get ur arrows cut down
#4 get a good bow
No offense but u suck I'm shooting 4 inch groups at 30 yards
@redneck4lifeish Fuck! Kid that is terrible for your joints and ligaments you are going to grow up and have arthritis everywhere it does not make you better if you pull more weight. WOW!
@Ps3xGaMeRxX not if you know what you are doing dumbass there are hundreds of muscles in your body and a workout for almost every one get your facts staight
if you bow hunt you need to learn to pull your bow stright back , and i watchet you draw your bow and i saw that you are kinda strugglen to get it back the legal draw weight is 35 pounds so its ok to back your bow down i shoot 55 nd i can pull 60 but you want to fell okay with what your doing
if you dont have any thing good to say y do you say any thing at all this is a kid at lest he out there in the woods beter then you siting there behind a cpu
i used to do the same thing when i was your age. lower your draw weight. i have killed deer shooting 40 pounds. theres no since in trying to shoot that much weight if you cant draw it properly. you will be a lot more accurate and steady with less poundage.
R u gonna struggle. To pull like that in the tree...that will probably scare away the deer u need to draw less .when u pull ur bow it should be horizontal
Ok First I need to say, I'm a friend of Brien's, and I have seen him shoot. He DOES NOT shoot like this any longer. This is when he was TRYING out the bow and hadn't adjusted the weight yet.
hey, you might want to lower the poundage, i have seen people kill a full size deer with a 29LBS bow and ive also seen a deer killed with a 97.5LBS bow. and i recommend that you cut your arrows they will fly a lot fast and when you go to buy new arrow if you have the money you should get more expensive arrows, basically if you but $150 arrow they will fly much faster than the $50 bass pro arrow. and one more thing i recommend is getting your self a drop away rest. just give some advice.
i just got the diamond razor edge for christmas and its 2010 and you might want to lower the poundage a little bit because it wouldn't effect the fps or the penetration a lot and it might be a little safer if you lower the poundage good luck on deer season
@NerfBoy101 leave the kid alone. no won cares about what you shot. and theres no way you shot a 29'' bow. unlease your like 6' talk your a lire. im 5'4'' and i shot at 26'' and a 60-70 LBS bow. and im 14. the kid is learning to shot a BOW. probably doesn't want to hear some guy pick on him.

C: Make the string Slip off its cam
