  • This 64kb demo I saw for the first time year 2002 on my AMD K7.

  • AMD 650MHZ with the AMD745 Chipset

  • I want to take a computer with this demo back to the 50s.

    "Guys, this demo I'm about to show you. . .don't tell anyone, but it's . . . 64 kilobytes"

"64 KILOBYTES? KIL O BYTES? My god, man, you could do ANYTHING with that much memory!"

    "True."

It isn't quite that simple though. Many of these 64k demos use gigabytes of physical and virtual memory when they are running. I think that viewing demos as demonstrators of technology is to somewhat miss the point. It isn't so much about the how many effects, how many triangles, or how complex the animations are. It is more about creating something beautiful. The self-imposed 64k limit serves much the same purpose to a programmer as the sonnet form does to a poet.

  • sweet just like the rest :)

    and buitifully made
