I'm suddenly reminded on Kings Quest 4 by watching this - how you can get to the very end of the game, beat the last boss, but accidentally die by falling off the path (or in this case, by touching the spikes)... no such thing as a break when you're a hero, I guess. ;)

I loved this game as a kid. It took me 11 years to beat it! Couldn't figure out the damn combo even with the slate....finally out of boredom one day I put the code in backwards and poof! I got it!!!

He goes to planet Paperock (where everyone knows how to play Janken) to find his dad.

After a life threatening journey and after beating the evil ruler Ashra he finds out his dads the real ruler and Ashra's his servant. And after all that his dad says to him "How do you like paperock?" And Alex is shocked but just hugs him!

I never completed that frigging game. My Master System stopped working before I completed it. And I was fucking good at it too!

And because games are getting easier these days, with more margin for error, it's impossible for me to get up to the standard I was at on Alex Kidd back then.
