  • :-) You are the man!

  • he should produce a local version of "the apprentice" and let us see the best fight among themselves thru strategy and skill to become his lackey...wow.

  • I certainly hope that philippines can be an industrialized country in my life time... It sucks when people from US and Europe ditch the country :( I've pride and I wish that I can be proud of my country

I hope for no more corruptness in the government, as I've visited philippines this year it looks better, I hope we can get in the right track soon :)

Tayong mag sama sama para saating pag taas (hope I wrote it right actually my first time writing tagalog in 9 years ^_^)

  • Is Mr. Ayala speak tagalog??

  • @Patrick12391 For sure he can understand and speak Tagalog.

  • Without a doubt, the most beautiful and powerful family in the Philippines

  • These families give jobs to Filipinos unlike our corrupt officials who just pocket pocket pocket commissions without hardwork. Families like Ayalas built conglomerates so us Filipinos can have stable jobs.

  • love them.. adopt me!

  • looks like a foreigner likely a german but he really is a filipino with spanish and german decent...

  • I always wanted to work for this person. I admire his business acumen and I respect his charitable work. He is one of the best entrepreneurs in the Philippines and I would like to learn from the best.

  • wahaha nice filipino accent.

  • he has a little TAGALOG ACCENT.

  • I'd like to work for you Sir Jaime as one of your Executives one day. I admire your business acumen and the contribution you made to the FIlipino people. Aris

  • IDOL!

  • Naku.. andami pang mga spanish descendant na pinoy ang may malalaking businesses dito sa Pinas.. example are the Aboitiz,, etc.

  • The most loved and respected family in the Philippines.

  • I hope rich filipino will always help poor filipino by building CALL CENTERS..It is a big help for us filipinos

  • Jaime Augusto Zóbel-de Ayala...I like AYALA department store..lol..Keep it up my filipino fellow..

  • amen.

  • JAZA is a nice and cute nickname...:)

  • I really idolize the Ayala bros., Jaime Augusto and Fernando...They are really an asset in the business firm here in our country..

  • yah, im quite surprised to hear Jaime Zobel de Ayalas' accent, i thought he have the american accent...

but i think filipino accent is such a nice accent, its just that i though he would develop the so-called "slang" coz he did go to abroad and study... coz i know some peeps who havent been out of the coutry to live, and yet they have a wonderful slang...

then again, accent does not measure success...

  • yep, filams are very conceited, i mean... lemme just put this down; thats how i speak my engish, like mr zobel. but some filams make fun of it/me cause my accent is different from their "L.A. slang".

theyre so dumb and ignorant that they dont realize that my english is an "educated english", they think its "FOB". dumb public school flips. no offense, just venting out:P

    -PROUD FILIPINO HERE.

  • I can see why it's hard not to do business with this guy.

  • very handsome!george clooney look a like...

  • Acually Fernando Zobel de Ayala (his brother) is better looking. So if you liked JAZA you will love Fernando Zobel de Ayala. I have seen him in person because I used to work for an Ayala company.

  • I agree! Fernando looks nicer too! Who's younger?

  • I agree, George Clooney with brains!

  • sya yung exact image ng businessman tycoon na nababasa ko lang sa pocketbooks: very dignified, refine at serious-type, prince charming-material kumbaga (hehe).... I love you, JAZA II!!!!

  • yes, his accent is definitely filipino!

  • matured n cy pero ang gwapo parin ny. ilang taon na kya 2

  • he is about 47 y.o only but very mature looking for his age. maybe coz of what he does.

  • Idol! he recently met with Dado Banatao, the famed Filipno venture capitalist here in the Silicon Valley, I interviewd Dado 3 years ago once when I was in college! man he's Brilliant. Dado and Jaime Augusto bring honor to our country! Philippines ROCK!

They both funded a new Venture capital firm called Narra Venture Capital. I'm starting mg own payments processing business, we came up with an new to process payments, our platform far better than PayPal. It can virtually eliminate fraud!

  • wala ako naintindihan sa sinabi ni Mr. Ayala.hehe

  • esta familia es de descendencia española en Filipinas.

  • slick guy!

  • big boss!

  • He has everything.

    Oh God.

    sana naging daddy kita

    or khit

    kmag-anak man lang

    hhehehe

  • hehehe.. some of the words he said has filipino accent.

  • born and bred in the philippines. he's very filipino.

  • Today's generation of Filipinos are mostly ill-informed by categorizing Filipinos with money (whether it be stolen) as an "elite." The Zobel de Ayala, Pardo de Tavera, Soriano family are some of the true Elite of our country: always helping and selflessly devoting their intelligence and resources toward nation building; they are low key and they avoid the limelight of our substandard entertainment media. Thank you to all the good families of the Philippines from all social classes.

  • That's because the Ayalas and Pardo de Taveras are descended from the Filipino patriots of 1872 and 1896 Revolution!

  • Zobel de Ayala, Pardo de Tavera...these are true noble and what I would call ELITE Filipinos. Always proud to say they are Filipinos without having to say, "I'm Fil/Am, Fil/Canadian, Fil/European." They are Filipinos and that's all there is to it. Low profile, avoiding the substandard media attention, always helping the country.

  • dude do you know what the three daughters of jamie Zobel de Ayala look like

do you have a picture or anything

  • i saw some of the zobel de ayala's in glorietta before

  • I saw her daughter once in the fort she was the prettiest girl ive ever seen ,,, 8s an amazing fact that shes not known like most stars in PI, yet shes got that star quality , truly a hidden jewel yet to be discovered.

  • does somone knows the name of the lady interviewer? she can really talk with an accent but if you look at her she's very asian...

  • pero the zobel de ayala's i think are not really want their kids tobe in showbiz, i think cuz they want to like make all to does really gud schools, so they could like have the whole family like still rich not like paris hilton who is poorly educated, gud thing their grandpa took out many money that they will get from their mana

  • I admire them (the Ayala's) eversince I was in the Phils until now I'm in US bcoz of their reputation.

  • does he speaks fluent tagalog?

  • Yup!

  • Apparently, he does. I had very little conversation with him at the Ramon Magsaysay lecture last August 2007. I was actually surprised when he spoke the Filipino language.

  • The Zobel/Ayala lived in the Phils. since 1800's

  • The Zobel de Ayalas are descendants of Jacobo Zobel and Domingo Roxas, pioneering Filipino revolutionists and were implicated in the Cavite Mutiny of 1872.

  • omg...ur amazin Castilla..how/where did u find these..been searchin everywhere..JAZAs voice was how i imagined it would be: manly..with proper diction not too slang..his smile @ 5:01 was priceless! thx again..

  • ohhh, glad and happy to see this ICON BUSINESS MAN

AUGUSTO ZOBEL DE AYALA! bravo, i salute you much sir!

    great and extremely admired...Meds W!°
