OK... who knows maybe that "fake" IP is some real persons IP, he also wanted to change it and there for got some other users IP, which also uses that program? So basically the users are just switching the IP addresses without knowing it? this is just a theory. So it might be true or might NOT be true...

@TheTramsen Tor works fine with the newest versions, if for some reason it isnt working with yours you should get the Browser Bundle from their website which includes a portable version of Firefox and Tor in a folder, works perfectly.

If Tor is slowing down your computer a lot then its not a problem with Tor but with your computer, the only thing that slows down when using Tor on my side is that the speed of loading websites is really bad.

Something is broken on your computer, not Tor.

@Boozeguy123 Hey! I found out the issue. go to google and type in how do I downpatch firefox look at the links and click the first/near first one. It should be on mozilla site. There you should find the info you need to know. From there, downpatch and you can hide yoru ip address as long as you are using the older version of firefox. It doesn't need to be your default browser by the way. Best of luck!
