"Jesus taught us this Christian prayer for which there is no substitute..."
"What does "Lead us not into temptation mean"?"
"We ask God our Father not to leave us alone and in the power of temptation. We ask the Holy Spirit to help us know how to discern, on the one hand between a trial that makes us grow in goodness and a temptation that leads to sin and death..."
Not looking for an argument, just supplying you with the facts :) God Bless you!!
@CrazyClaire88 Our prayers should go to God and God alone just as the 1st commandment teaches us. He is the Protector. Accepter of Praise and requests/prayers. He has no spirit. He is the only one who answers our prayers. A spirit is a creation of God. God is not His creation. HE IS THE CREATOR. The holy spirit was the angel Gabriel in the original manuscripts. God and God alone causes to be born and die.
1 Corinthians 10:13 God is faithful and he will not let u be tempted beyond ur ability. verse talks about where temptation comes from
And remember, when someone wants to do wrong it is never God who is tempting him, for God never wants to do wrong and never tempts anyone else to do it. Temptation is the pull of man's own evil thoughts and wishes." JAMES 1 VERSES 13 & 14
so u were right about God not tempting us but u weere wrong that it comes from the devil. it comes from the man's evil heart
@arbouz Man is created pure. I am not wrong about that. Did you not see the story of Adam? it was satan who whispered to him. Had he not Adam a.s. would have never thought of this.
@arbouz Good question. The difference between God and man is. God is uncreated.Meaning he wasn't created.Man is God's creation.Good question, the Quran addresses this, man could have not created himself b/c he couldn't bring into existance something when he himself didn't exist.
@arbouz The purpose of our existance and life is to worship Almighty God in everything we do.This life is a test from God. God says in the Quran, man sins and asks for forgiveness. If he didn't sin anymore, God would replace him with another people who would sin and ask for forgiveness. He loves us to turn to him in repentance and humility.
@arbouz if you search on youtube what is the purpose of life by khalid yasin you will see a very good talk on this exact subject. He is a really good speaker.
@arbouz God is the ONLY one who EVER made this claim: I am the originator of the heavens and the earth. Completely perfect with no deficiency. man is not perfect and is deficient. God created us to worship Him and Him alone: this is the purpose of our existance. This world is a test.
as for praying to mary you can understand your asking mary to deliver a message to his son jesus christ
you dont worship her you ask for her help.
just like when sometimes when you ask your mothers friend hey can you please deliver this message to him or say can you please try to convince him to help me out on with this please. since your her mother you can maybe change his mind you hold respect and admaration for her.
@jk41 Why would you need to do this? If you say Jesus is God or even part of God(trinity), are you saying he was too busy to hear you himself? Mary a.s. can't help you.She died. God never died nor dies. He knows what you think and feel and ask for. I love Mary the mother of Jesus a.s. I try to follow her example all the time.:)
@jk41 God and God alone is the acceptor of prayers and praise. God is NOT too busy or too far to accept our prayers and requests. He is the All knowing All Hearing. Jesus came as God's messenger. To deliver God's message to the children of israel. Mary was chosen to be the mother of Jesus. She was the most pious of all women.
I think you got confused with the hail mary mother of god. jesus christ is god was born from mary so it is gods mother if you look at it that way. because mary was jesus christ mother. which jesus christ is god.
@jk41 So you are saying God got Mary's DNA? And God ate and drank and went to the bathroom? God is in need of nothing nor was He born nor will He die.
@jk41 I hear what you are saying, but would God get thirsty, hungry, sleep,? Why would God pray to himself? Jesus prayed to God-the only God-The Almighty Creator of you and me and everything. The One who is not in need of anything. He has no parents or kids. He is not human, God is beyond this. It does not befit the majesty of God to say He has a son.
jesus his only son, chosen son for us and for all our sin is the only mediator between us and god. Not because hes not all powerful, but because he chose it to be. he send a messiah and his son jesus to take away all our sins. So he said if you do not believe in him then you do not believe in what I said and your calling me a liar. So beleiving that Jesus was the messiah , is the only way to heaven and theres no other way but threw him.
@jk41 muslims believe Jesus is Christ the Messiah, a chosen messenger by GodIf you killed someone would it be fair for someone else to be punished for this? No it wouldn't right God is the MOST JUST.He doesn't make people suffer for someone elses mistake..And on the day of judgement we are going to be asked about everything.
@NoorminAllah You can't be serious... The New Testament IS the Testamony to Jesus' devinity!!
"Jesus never said I am God"? Have you read the New Testament? Have you read the Apostollic Fathers, such as Polycarpus, Ignatius, Clement of Rome, etc?? The CENTRAL CLAIM of Christiniaty is that THE WORD (Logos) became flesh... Throughout the Gospels, Jesus speaks and acts with the authority of the person of God. /watch?v=lWf-h2BLzOA
@Gazdo01 The new testament was not written by Jesus nor written by anyone who met Jesus peace be upon him. They were named Mathew Mark Luke and John not based on any certain people, but to differentiate between the four so the scholars wouldn't get mixed up. God is not part of His creation. Nor does He ever become part of His creation. No man has seen God. Jesus was not divine. He was Christ, the messiah born of the virgin Mary a prophet/messenger sent by God.
@NoorminAllah "He prayed to God. God doesn't pray to himself"
Wow geez... you're so smart...
I guess 2000 years of exquisite theology just goes down the drain...
Seriously... we KNOW Jesus prayed to God. Ever wondered why we STILL say Jesus had a divine nature??
Don't forget, Jesus was truely MAN and truely DIVINE.
By his divine nature, he's equal to the Father... by his human nature, he's inferior... He's been sent in the flesh, YES... but the WORD of God is eternal. Jesus IS the Logos.
@Gazdo01 God doesn't have a nature. Time doesn't apply to Him and neither do the physical laws of this world. Jesus NEVER said he was God this fact is confirmed in the Quran as well. You just said He said the father is greater than I and now you are saying they are equal. God Almighty is UNCOMPARABLE to ANYTHING OR ANYONE, Glory be to Him. He doesn't share His legislation nor authority with anyone. Far is He beyond that which you are saying,The Majestic, All Knowing, Creator, Almighty,Supreme
@NoorminAllah " You just said He said the father is greater than I and now you are saying they are equal."
Yes, I said Jesus is a man, born of Mary. In that sense, he is sent by the Father, who is greater than him. BUT IN THE SAME TIME, Jesus claimed to be the Son of God, the LOGOS (=the very own MIND OF GOD)... the WORD by which everything was created.
This WORD became man in the person of Jesus.
Here's a question... is the WORD OF GOD created or not? You'll find the WORD is equal to GOD
@Gazdo01 What you have said is blasphemy! To say that a man is the mind of God is absolute blasphemy against God Almighty. God's knowledge is infinite. Jesus' was finite. Tell me something, since the beginning of the creation of man, people have worshiped God. The message was clear the prophets taught the same message. Simple. So why is it the message you are proclaiming to be true, is going against the time from Jesus to Adam? Were the jews expecting God to become a man?
@Gazdo01 By the wayJesus did not speak greek. He spoke aramaic. Logos is a greek word. And the question you are asking me: Think about your question and explain this what you are saying to a five yr. old. A word is spoken or written. The Words of God are the words God taught to the prophets to relay to the people. Such as the ten commandments, GOSPEL of jesus Christ and the Quran. It's clear and simple and rational.
@Gazdo01 You have just called God false. Allah is the name of God in arabic. On the first page of genesis in the arabic bible you find the word Allah over 14 times. And you say Allah is false? If you didn't know it's ok, but for now on please don't state something you don't know or something that is untrue.in aramaic the word for God is Alloh. IN hebrew Aloh or Aloheim Some maybe spell it elohim. But it is the same semetic root.
ALLAH IS MENTIONED OVER 14 TIMES IN THE ARABIC BIBLE. ALLAH MEANS THE GOD IN ARABIC. IN HEBREW IT'S ELOHA OR ELOHIM. Muslims already believe Jesus was Christ the Messiah.

Marry also says "from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed"
The only people who did not imediately benefit from their religion are the christians. Jesus was crucified, disiples were martyred. Therefore the religion had to be divinely inspired.
Allah is not mentioned in the Jewish, or christion gospel, which is what Islam was created from.
@drowningfishyo Allah is mentioned in the arabic bible as the name for God over 14 times.

why don't people just live away from other people and just be there own God?

Yes, that is the Christian faith. Read the Creeds. No need for Muhammed to remind us that. The Jews too know that...

That is the basis of Christian faith... thanks for sharing.
