  • in world war 2 my dad saw things that he still remembers but hes cool with those memories as there are always death in wars. but in viet nam charlie went over the top and took the war to something you'd see in the dark ages - heads of children on a stick, arms and legs left on the road to show everyone charlie doesn't give a shit and has no mercy for anyone - the average combat solider was not mentally prepared for what was going on in that war - no surge or bomb would have made a difference.

  • this song epitomizes Rock...

it's a shame they were basically a mediocre band, not quite 'one hit wonders' but wow, what a hit to leave for a legacy!!!

Rock Music thanks you Argent and so do I.

  • Someone has comented on here that this song having been sold for an ad campaign makes the artist a whore. I completely disagree. It is completely acceptable to earn a living with your work.

  • Hold your head is my personal anthem ! Thanks & cudos to Aergent !

  • GREAT!!!

  • seen this band when they was a garage band,oh yeah.

  • @lovemytigers No offense, friend, but before forming this band Rod Argent was in the Zombies, so I seriously doubt Argent ever had a "garage band" phase.

  • Joe Dirt brought me here. Lmao.

  • This song helped me though a difficult time. Now it is true. Don't let anyone make you feel bad about yourself. You are just as good as everyone else. God has made you special. Jesus died for you and took all your problems to the cross for you. This was a great message Thank Rod Argent.

  • @misterrailroadman ...Heysus ..(Jesus)..my gardener died?.....did notice some of my CDs were missing..didn't know they were a problem... him dying is... whose ganno do the lawn now, with all the border being closed..................OH you are talking about Sky Daddy and his bastard son... or should I say illegitimet child.

  • @walldodger1969 That's not nice to Call Jesus that nasty name. He did die for you. Jesus is not your gardener. The Lord is not a problem. If ant body puts you down. As it says don't let anybody make you feel bad about yourself. The Lord won't get you. The Lord will get that person that was mean to you.

  • @walldodger1969 He even died for this guy. Jesus is Awesome and he will return soon.

God have mercy on you. One day all the earth will fall to their knees and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father. That is a fact. Sad to say it doesnt meant they are going to Heaven just that they will finally see the TRUTH!!!!!!

After 911 so many people were scared and going to church and buying Bibles. Woke up some people how powerless they are. Who is in control? GOD!!!

  • @misterrailroadman i totally agree with you this song is so spiritual and Jesus loves everyone and died for all of us even the bad people. he doesnt want anyone to go to hell the choice is yours alone. God Bless You for this comment

  • @ponchomom44 Thank you and God bless you to. I make my choice to go to Heaven and you're right. The choice is ours. But I choose to go to Heaven and God bless you.

  • @ponchomom44 Good job for sticking up for the Lord to walldodger. The Lord will bless you for that. Thank you and you're right, may God have mergey on him. But all we can do is pray for him.

  • love the pics, thank you so much for the trip!

  • ladies and gentlemen! Jon Fishman!

  • The 70s was a decade of greatness!

  • Thanks FTroop37F!!

  • in September I was going BACK into the Marines for a 2nd time. I guess I didn't have enough fun the first time through. Yes I remember this song. but I don't think it was about any military veterans. I remember the organized hate against ALL veterans per se, and Vietnam veterans in articular. back then, that group of men & women was the "IN" group to hate. it was hip, after all, to do so. as in "oh yeah man I'm hip. all veterns murdered over there" (exact quote said to me directly)

  • @TravellerFellow

"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world, but the Marines dont have that problem."- Ronald Reagan 1985. God bless you for all you have done for our country. Utmost respect to you and all out veterans!

  • Yep, brings back memories of the early 70's. ;)

  • dam sam, nostalgia ain't what it used to be...life back then and the soundtrack to it.

  • I loved beinging outside all day and when the street lights came on DINNERTIME!!!

  • dang i love this song. and you are right guys... there was more to this music than in any other generation. why we have to keep it going.

  • @JAngelGuard144 Well, it's up to us to keep the spirit of ROCK ALIVE. The way to do it is to listen to great songs like this, and to give "Thumbs Up" and give great comments about the song!!! And just not listen to any garbage that's out there!!!

SO THUMBS UP IF YOU AGREE!!!!!

  • @1962drob I completely agree with you...

  • @shawndixon13 RIGHT ON BRO!!!!!!

  • This is a true classic. Let's face it!!! They just don't make music like this anymore :(

THIS IS REAL ROCK AND ROLL!!!!

  • @1962drob Yes it is buddy! They don't make them like this! :D

  • @raphater2000 You know it BRO!!! This is how Rock and Roll is done my man!!!

And you are a credit for your generation. If you were my son, I would be so proud of you. I'll bet your dad is real proud. You are one of the coolest people I've ever met on YouTube!

    PARTY ON BRO!!!!

  • @1962drob This is without a doubt OUR generation ROCK & ROLL.GREAT stuff "HEAR"!!!! ROCK ON!!!!!!

  • @MrMegaFredzeppelin YOU GOT THAT RIGHT BRO!!! We have to give credit to "raphater2000". He's only 11 years old, and he prefers this kind of music over what the other kids listen to. His dad raised him right. He shows great taste for his generation!!!

SO KUDOS TO YOU AND "raphater2000" FOR KEEPING THE SPIRIT OF ROCK ALIVE!!!!!

  • Tampa Bay Lightning

  • These were groovy days, to be sure. Never be anything like 'em again.

  • I am learning the keyboards to this and Who's (Won't Get Fooled Again) and other prime keyboard songs. I believe The keyboardists are ripe for a return to hard rock and I want to be in on the ground floor of any such trend

  • This is the version that they always used to play on WDVE Pittsburgh, back when it was a real radio station, (before they sold out to queer channel) back when bell bottom levis were cool and if you didn't like it I would kick your ass, back when reefer was cheap & so were Marlboros, back before I learned how easily girls could chew up my heart and spit it out, back when.... aw, nevermind, I'm making myself depressed now. Fuck it. Long hair forever! Anarchy for you and me!

  • I was not allowed to listen to rock music as a kid. Well, for my birthday I got a crystal radio(used no power, just electrical difference between air and ground with a sliding wire to tune it)with an earphone that was barely a whisper..and first song I heard was this. It was as unimaginably strange as if I had contacted aliens. To this day hearing the song brings back that "first contact" feeling...

  • Music tracks are the property of the record label and can be sold to whoever unless other arrangements were made...Remember Heart throwing a fit because of Sarah Palin using "Barracuda" for her theme? Her camp paid the licensing fees and the Wilson sisters had no choice but to go pound sand...

  • @150grnballistictip Yes, fascist record company scum tend to slick-talk artists into signing over the rights to their songs, in exchange for a fistfull of green frog skins. (Listen to Skynyrd's Workin For MCA) However, not all songs are owned by corporate fascists. Some bands have deliberately gone independant, after having been burned by the scum. Fuck fascism. Fuck greed. Long Live Anarchy.

  • Songs Appearing on adverts only mean the Artist has turned his work over to "the Devil"

This band and other bands like Focus held out a long time before selling out to the cash cow whores and they are to be praised for that!

  • this song shows up on adverts thees days..funny how the classics maintain

  • As a Vietnam vet I can confirm that I did hear that this was for us. If that was true it was really appreciated given the shit we put up with when we came home from that hell hole war.

  • @burbank133 Welcome home man

  • @burbank133 I didn't know that, but I certainly appreciate it.

  • @burbank133 In 1972 I was a 17 when I completed AIT at Ft. Lee, Va. I flew into SF airport to be home for christmas, I was in uniform and was called a baby killer. I almost went ballistic. Oddly a radio station was playing this song. It helped alot. I was proud then and more today. Keep the faith bro.

  • @TGHarsh Appreciate the good words. Take care as well bud.

  • @burbank133 Just a footnote: For the last 20 yrs, I've been a correctional officer in Nevada. For 15 yrs I was the staff sponsor for Viet Nam Verteans of America Chapter 719, which is for the veteran inmates. Thier Eagle may fly in chains, but they are still veterans of that war. And I still remember my roots and proud of it. The healing never stops. Take care.

  • @burbank133 and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your service. I haven't been but, from what I've seen and read war is actually Hell. If we are in the same city and there was anything you needed I would help you. Thank you for being in the war. GOD bless you.........

  • @MrJustmythoughts Thanks for your support. I live in California and have been able to access resources for dealing with the issue of coping with the aftermath of that war.

  • I heard somwehere that the lyrics were about returning US combat troops returning from Viet Nam who some of which were being treated poorly. Any one heard this? On a nostalgic note remember the Raleigh Chopper bike with the little wheel in front and the big slick (no treads) in the back? In '72 I had a orange 3 speed stick shift model, and loved it!

  • laughs at will

  • Yeah, this song, as a child, helped me out so much. I am the wife of Dansing124, and I was 10 years old when this came out. It made me not want to listen to those who said mean things to me. I love you Argent, thanks so much for helping my self esteem...

  • Wow, I loved the single, but this extended version is fantastic, many thanks for puttiing on.

    Steve

  • listen to some clasic rock and make some stoned out stock choices on scottrade. hey dude argent is like some kind of metal isn't it? let's invest in argentium. cool man let's do it.

argent rules dude! hell yeah man. let's go get a powerball ticket and some beer and hang out at joey's place.

  • Just heard this song on a commercial this morning, I remember hearing it a few years ago played on the radio. Cool song!

  • Love your comments !! Makes me feel so old but happy cos we had music like this!! Brings back so many memories

  • Fucking hell i got an RnB advert... the horrific irony...

  • Green stamps were like Camel Cash, you'ld die before you got anything worthwhile...

  • Probably one of the best Hammond B-3 solos ever recorded on a pop record. Another would be Sugar Loaf's "Green Eyed Lady".

  • Green stamps? I got water skiis.

  • This could have been Chesaning ,Mich. sooo easily.I still have a GRAIG stereo w/8-trak and turn table. The speakers sound better than most "new" speakers.Oh and I still love that hard rock sound from the 70's. Ya know Boston,Nazerath,Cheap Trick,AC/DC,Judas Priest...Long LIVE ROCK BE IT DEAD OR ALIVE!

  • I liked Russ Ballard from "Voices" in my Miami Vice Days, but I had no idea he was lead singer/guitarest for Argent! Awesome!

  • I used to go to an A&W burger joint with my uncle and his girlfriend when I was young- wow these pictures really take you back, thanks for uploading this!

  • @MightyZarkon Aztec, New Mexico still has a A&W Drive Inn. Yesterday, the Aztec Tigers won the State Football title, against Goodard. Papa Burger is still alive with Mama Burger in Aztec. Rootbeer in a gallon plastic jug.

  • I loved album covers!! They almost always told a story all in their own..the 70's were full of mystical wonders, TV Shows 1Adam12 Hawaii 5-0 Brady Bunch,Dragnet,Music: Black Sabbath,Eagles,Edgar Winter Family: pick-nicks,costume parties,Christmas Gatherings 4Gotten Fast Foods,Red Barn,Kentucky Fried Chicken,(NOT KFC) Quirky Items:Pet Rocks,,S&H Green stamps(my mother killed 4 them lol)Clothing,Terrie Cloth Shorts,Colored Ring Socks & Polyester. Gas:.79 per gal. Wow now that's the 70's

  • @thundermaster41 Yup...and BIG bell bottoms with long leather tassle belts...MIA bracelets....Tricky Dick...kick-ass brass in REAL bands...pasting all those green stamps into books for my grandmother...Huge, huge speakers on your home component stereo system...playing outside more than indoors, and knowing the whole neighborhood was watching out for you (and would tell on you if they needed to)...peace marches and environmentalism...Muscle Cars....and HAIR!!! LONG, LONG hair on everyone....

  • @blondwiththewind OMG !!! A 70's follower to the core, you mentioned things even I had long forgotten well done my son you pass onward lol,I remeber neighbors always hated it when we loaded out our Mammoth Huge speakers too let the whole world I loved metal, and soon yes very soon you will too I was going too make that happen Or going DEAF trying lol, P-O-L-I-C-E a coming round the mountains when he comes

WRITING BIG WHITE TICKETS we comes lol

  • @blondwiththewind i wore my original bell bottoms out to a gig this weekend!.. Ace.

  • @blondwiththewind Also.. Multi color shag rugs, crushed velvet furniture, bamboo shades, olive green kitchen appliances, drop-ceilings, paneling on the walls, dark wood room decor, bra-less women, rotary dialing telephones, Farrah, Fonzie and the Six Million Dollar Man.

The best of all is that we had tons of great music to remember the period... long ago, far away and gone forever. I remember my Grandpop tellng me: "Time goes fast kid, so you better enjoy yourself now". He was so correct.

  • Watching this is like entering a long forgotten room...

  • I don't know who sang for them, but I consider a perfect, timeless voice. So much he could (did?) have done. Straight on, with a lot of feeling.

  • Pretty surreal set of images to a great Rock song...thanks.

  • Great slide show! I grew up in the 70's was born in 64 and while the memories can be nostalgic, I really don't miss any of it much. The music and tv has been preserved and as far as those classic cars go, you were at the Fina or Gulf station all the time either to refuel or repair...

  • My God this song is fuckin incredible

  • I was in the USMC in 1972 when this first came out and Rod played it. Great jam, and a lot of good jams back them...

  • This was a big hit and rightly so, it will give you a boost! I graduated high school in 72 and yeah i remember s&h green stamps, used to help my mom glue them in. I can remember getting glass ware out oatmeal boxes! Anybody old enough to remember those?

  • I remember S&H green stamps AND I remember Blue Chip stamps too! I remember spotting Blue Chip stamp bowling in various bowling centers back in the 1970s/80s, paying off the bowlers as they won! I still have some Blue Chip stamps in my possession even though there is apparently no place to redeem those any more.

  • Look at all the great recommended songs to the right. Every one a hit.

  • This was great stuff when I was listening to it in the seventies. I requested it in the eighties from the radio station,WFIL in Phila. they only had the short version. I really appreciate being able to hear this full version after so long a period of time.

  • @w3mq WFIL and WIBG were my main radio station in the 70's. Good old Jim O'Brien was a great guy - RIP.

  • @JP5466 I didn't realize that Jim O'brien was a DJ also, I just remember Him as an anchorman at channel six. and yes He is greatly missed although seldom spoken of. Thanks for reminding me of that fact.

  • @w3mq Yes, he was a DJ on WFIL before he was on WPVI 6. When I was 9 years old, I called Jim to make a song request on air... I still have it on cassette tape!

  • Who is the gal at :51 in black and white with the bottle of soda? What a great face.

  • great song I remember I was about 16 when this came out what a cool time that was,

  • really 1972! In my humble opinion the supper good rock/roll era. 1967-1980...

  • I wish I was born 40 years earlier.

  • I heard this song on an episode of Men of a Certain Age. As they played it I was not only reminded of the power of perseverance but also moved by the generosity of the human spirit. THANKS, I NEEDED THAT!!

  • The priest @ :41 has bigger boobs than some of the girls. Only kidding this is a great video for this great song. Thanx for posting it.

  • 3 R's....Radical, Righteous and Right On!

  • Anyone here over 38 years old remember S&H green stamps? I redeemed many of those for Hot Wheel cars and other great toys.

  • @JP5466 i was going thru some old stuff, and found a couple, couldn't remember what they were for, at first :)

  • @JP5466 - Action man stuff, Battling Tops (the game) and Astro Moon..the good old days indeed :O)

  • @JP5466

Yeah, I remember S&H green stamps. You'd glue them into their books, and when the pages were full you took them to a redemption store. I never got to use them though.

  • @JP5466 Man I LOL'ed when I read that. I haven't thought about S&H Greenstamps since I was a kid. I had an Evil Knieval lunchbox in first grade.

  • @mommyrottie The EK gyro motorcycle was cool too, but mine got ruined because I ran all over my Mom's shag rug. All kids in my neighborhood used to set up ramps and we used to jump over other kids BigWheels on the street. I'm surprised no one got killed doing that -lol. The 70's was a great time to be a kid... none of this gaming/cellphone nonsense we have today. Kids had to go outside and invent their own fun. The exercise was beneficial too.

Some great memories of times long gone.

  • @JP5466 Green Shield in our house!

  • @JP5466 I remember those stamps. Make a book, then turn it in for some material items, like a radio, blender, dishes, kitchen stuff. Hot wheels and the orange plastic track.

  • @JP5466 I remember them...telling on myself as far as my age huh LOL! I actually worked for a grocery store that gave S&H green stamps...double stamps on Wednesday....Piggly Wiggly Southern...those were the good ole days!

  • @JP5466 oh yeah...also Gold Bond stamps

  • @JP5466 doesn't have anything to do with the song or video but i dig the inquiry. i do remember s&h green stamps. mom or dad would have to stick them in a book.(lick them and plaster them on each page. actually i've much more recollection but how much more boring can this get

  • @JP5466 I'm 42 and my mom collected them when we lived in Roanoke, VA. I ended up getting a croquet set and my mom got kitchen towels and stuff.

  • All right ! Here it is , Thanks for posting .

  • This has one of my favourite keyboard solos.

  • I remember seeing Argent live at the Black Swan in Sheffield in the 70's. Great band.

  • Thank's Scott Trade commercial for making this song popular again for peaople who never heard of Argent

  • @kevywev1 Atatesie m8 of mine showed the ScoTrade telly advert to me (via webcam), and I am very.....miffed. I thought selling out & coroprate greed was against everything the artistes of that era stood for? I saw this advert featuring an artiste (one of the last, I guess) that hitherto did not sell out & I became very sad.

    Still & all I like this ALL-TIME UBER-MEGA-ULTRA RAVE-FAVE! And always will..

    Thanks fer this, m8...

  • @kevywev1 That's why I am here. HAD to hear this great song! So good!

  • This is one of the most significant tunes of the 70's, nice harmony, guitar chords and a superb hammond organ solo along with guitar licks. 5 stars.

  • What a great song! And that organ solo.....!!!

  • The 60's and 70's was the true renaisance of rock music. Real talent, real emotion, and songs that had real meaning. As I said in a previous post, I try to be impartial to todays music, but it just doesn't compare. It just doesn't reach out and grab your soul like this song does. I don't believe we will ever see those days again. Cherish those memories everyone. Hopefully, some of today's generation will see this.

  • @gatorman1067 charming, Dude. Just totally charming. Ever heard of hating your brother? You qualify

  • People who don't like this song should seek psychiatric help!

  • @clydeholbrook

and if it hurts... don't let them see you cry...

  • i dedicated this song to my daughter, she has had a rough childhood and she thinks noone likes her and my family and her dads side of the family treat her like she has the plague or something.this is an awsome song.

  • This was a golden age in which to grow up. We watched Woodstock, Vietnam, heard the war stories from our older family members, and we took the tough times with the good times.

  • growing up in the 60's and 70's was hard but I wouldn't of wanted it any other way. There will never be music like this again, EVER. The junk that is on the radio now is not what I call music.

  • @peeweepig1 That's what your parents said about your music.

  • Canadian banking system the best in the world, more countries should follow our model but they won't. Hold your head up Canadians.

  • why doesnt my can of Heneikin fit into my coolee?? all the other beers fit......

  • there was more & better music tht came from the late 60's & 70s thn fom the 80's until present day. the artists have all lost their way, their feelings, their emotions. todays music sux big dicks.nobody has anything good nemore. rap blows a big one.there's nothing there except a bnch of monkeys flappin their jibs about nothing. rap is dying fast & i for 1 m glad. this music from argent willalways ut play & mean anything to date. rock on motherfuckers.

  • This is just a wonderful, awesome, great, song made by the great group Argent! I grew up to these songs!! BobbyK

  • @doc57t @SupernautG , in canada, you will probably die from cancer before you even get treatment.haha free medical isnt all its cut out to be. theres a reason we privatized it

  • @clydeholbrook guess that explains why the WHO has us listed as having a longer life expectancy, like every other industrialized nation on earth, than the US. The reason it's privatized is because useful idiots like you throw money at big business.

  • @tylercanada well i have quite a bit of family from canada, and ill tell you that my grandmother comes here for medical treatment because she cant wait two or three months for an appointment

  • @clydeholbrook

    @clydeholbrook

You are sidestepping the point. One person does not an exodus make. No system is perfect... however, I think most people from the industrialized nations will agree, an expected longer life span is best... and not getting hooped by the big businesses is even better.

Stop being so American and get a passport. Travel, my friend, is fatal to the narrow mind.

And start your travels with a trip to Canada, many beautiful cities, clean, safe, healthy. Nice change.

  • And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption(salvation) draweth nigh.Luke21And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

  • Thanks for posting this song and slide show of Americana.

  • Comet Kohotek (s?) at 3:11?

    Hehehe the 70's were great.....

  • 19 people can't hold their heads up. Now this is music.

  • still playing i think any info would be helpfull thanks

  • this helps me get up veryday

  • This band is brilliant, especially the "Zombie" Rod Argent — what an authentic genius!

  • This song should have been taught to the young Americans to realize that they are blessed to be here. 6 billion people would trade with them any time day or night. Our strength was and is our ability to freely create the path that others want to follow.

  • @John62charles Slow down there sparky, we all love America but people in parts of the advanced world (Canada, Western Europe, Japan, etc) these days have it better than most Americans so coming to the USA these days would be a step down in lifestyle. By the way, sparky, this song/band is British.

  • @SupernautG

Why, if it is so much better in canada, do the canucks keep coming to america for medical care and treatment?

  • @doc57t Slow down there, sparky. Last I checked Americans go to Canada for the cheaper medicines and very few Canadaians cross into America for medical reasons. Canada's economy did not experiance a real estate bubble so they have it better off these days.

  • Thumbs up if the X Factor brought you here. Hmmph, just kidding (;>

  • I love this tune. What a great time for music. It made the early 70s....enduring Nixon and Vietnam while attending junior high school as an awkward, insecure teenager...bearable.

  • who is questioning Obama today??...lot of old hippies acting as if they are relevant,,,but seem boring...so what the difference that ytou have nothing to say about the Obama drones and the Afghan war the longest in history ..etc etc..youre a lot of hippocrites...but we knew that a long time ago...

  • 18 Disco fags disliked this song.

  • The only way it was ever a simpler time for me is because I was so, so little. I remembered this song because of how much adversity we are all facing right now...none of us as much as the soldiers chained to the war that the media ignores. And I loved watching my mom playing the drums on the steering wheel.

  • Late 60s question every thing the 70s you learn Govt. cant be trusted this song too me said you still had strength change things!!

  • This song has helped me thru a LOT of tough times in my life over the years. For those of us who "march to a different drummer"...who stand for truth and fairness--even if it means you stand alone...who swim against the tides of populartiy for a righteous cause: Have courage...be yourself...do your best to do the right thing...and never give up. This is YOUR song. "Hold your head up. Hold your head high".

  • @blondwiththewind A-MEN!

  • @blondwiththewind ditto....

  • @blondwiththewind Yes, m8...and that is why I take umbrage to the song now being used as a 'shill' for the corporate bourgeoisie..

Rod Argent, do you need the money THAT bad?? <:-(

  • @BadNews88 Oh NO!!...say it itsn't so!! That's part of why I DON'T watch television anymore!! I REALLY dislike hearing meaningful classics trotted out to hawk some product. BUT so often it is not the artists' decision. I don't know about this one in particular...but quite often someone else owns the rights to an artist's song and shills it out. Sad...infuriating, even. Corporations have no heart, and money rules. If all they need is a "jingle", why not give some new song writer the work??!!

  • @blondwiththewind Sad, but true, m8. Fellow Viewer here kevywev1 can vouch for me. He saw it, too...

I'll never forget seeing a U.S. telly advert for Comtrex (Cold medication) .. with Twisted Sister's 'we're Not Gonna Take It (Anymore)'. Only saw it ONCE, never again after that 1 screening...I'll wager that Dee Snyder & Atlantic/WEA had some words over it & Snyder won out & had it pulled.

  • What memories!!!!!!!!!!!

  • America Heed the Call!

  • Eighteen people are clueless beyond belief.

  • this song always brings me up, reminds me to stand my ground and keep some faith

  • Saw Argent at Lafayette College, 73(?). Rod Argent, with really, really long hair was doing his best Keith Emerson "treat the organ like a guitar" impression.

  • @gmartinz01

hmm...which reminds me..time to look up some Emmerson,Lake, and Palmer tunes.

  • Nobody ever talks about Bob Henrits contribution to Argent - it was immense!- best British drummer ever! Great song. Amazing drumming!

  • RIFER MADNESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

  • men of certain age brought me here!

  • Not a fan of rock music by any stretch of the imagination, but this has stuck in my head for over 30 years. Great to find out who sang it! Peace.

  • @MuzikJunkyAES I do believe its Russ Ballard on vocals who also sang vocals on the original "god gave rock n roll to you"

  • I grew up in the 70's and 80's and having an older brother and sister introduced me to music i would have never heard. Listening to groups like Looking Glass,Seals and Croft bring back vivid memories of a simpler time when we actually loved one another.

  • The '60's and '70's were definitely THE best time to grow up musically...don't get me wrong...there's some great music from every era and genre...sometimes you have to really search to find it...but it's there...I loved growing up in those two eras the most tho

  • @drtydawg51 Totally agree. What kind of memories will the present generation have of their music? I'm 62 and still love the music from the 50's, 60's and 70's. We had so much variety with various groups and singers from all over the world. Those memories will never die.

  • @drtydawg51 nonsense

  • show them your best revenge...succeed

  • saw the Zombies last night [ 09/09/11 ] at Casino Rama in Orillia, Ontario, Canada with Rod Argent on keyboard and they did a killer job of this song with Colin Blunstone vocals and original Kink's and Argent base player Jim Rodford. Rock on forever Zombie's with that hint of Argent !!

  • Damn, my era. I used to put this on the stereo after I got the kids to bed when I was babysitting in Carpenter Iowa...GREAT song!!!!!!!!!!!

  • brill

  • The 18 dislikes must be commies.

  • This song is old but it says so much, raychapa01.

  • OUTSTANDING SONG....

  • ARGENT are a British band - Rod Argent was with the Zombies. If you like good British music check out the band Free -

  • some things just never get old !
