@TheHeavenlyTears at the end, there is actually a name for those chords. its called a cluster chord. and essentially what it is, or could be, you can hand to play 5 notes all next to each other. its a 20th century technique, which in some cases works musically, but it appears Elfman has instead used to to show the how Victor is interrupted.

Give Chopin's Nocturne No. 20 a listen, it has more of a resemblance.

the bell might be something of a pointer reference for him. for example, he may do a continual video shot and when he's ready to record something, he ring the bell to the camera because he already records and so he could see that point easily.

Also he might just ring a bell to show the audience that this is a live recording and not a record that might have audio swapped with a previously played track.
