  • What happened to his voice? did he get it back?

  • This is just sad, for so many reasons.

  • Has anyone seen the video where Joey lipsyncs to 'Without You" on some South American TV show. It is such a slap at the face of Pete and Tom. He does not do their songs justice. Why doesn't he hire a Pete and Tom type person to be them onstage?

He wrote fantastic material, too, but he really seems like phony sleaze! Sorry, Joey. You can change.....

  • GONG!

  • I know he has bills too, but he should hang it up. Being reduced to no name, Mickey Mouse appearances like this is downright embarrassing. Honestly, how many people are gonna run out & pay to see him on tour? Enough to pay his bills? Your voice is shot, Joey.

  • I hope you read this Joey.I have tried for years to look at things objectively re;Badfinger but this proves you really are a talentless grave robber.Imagine Gilbey Clarke's Guns n' Roses? Brian Robertson's Motorhead? You make Mike Love look like a saint.Oliver Reed sang better on Aspel than you did here.

  • HE JUST SUCKS

  • It's mentioned that George Harrison had died so it has to be later than 2001. That interviewer is a nitwit. You gotta hand it to Molland, he's a survivor.

  • I like the name dropping .. but never once mentioned the band he was with ! CUNT !

  • Joey Molland was Badfinger's guitarist and lead singer??? Someone is hallucinating.

  • If you listen a little more closely you can hear the same raspy, bad voice that he had in 1975! He's not improved or failed; he just never could handle lead well. Most of everything I have heard or read portrays Joey as basically an asshole. And Kathie??.......geez she drives me nuts.

Hang it up, Joey. RIP Pete, you angel.

  • HE REMINDS ME OF PAUL MCCARTNEY XD I LOVE BADFINGER

  • Ohhh come on now....dont be soo mean! Joey is great! Nobody is perfect all the time. And yeah people do age, surprise surprise. I met Joey not that long ago and hes very genuine, hes a great performer and a very good musician. Stop slamming him!!!

  • REALIZE the pain that Pete Ham had to go through. REALIZE why he gave up his life. REMEMBER that every dead carcass has its vulture ..... and you're looking at him right now !! Joey Molland was only in BadFinger to scrounge off the talents (& financial proceeds) of Pete Ham & Tom Evans !

  • Thanks for the history and memories - Rudolph was a surprise. It's Christmas and I'm baking grandma's cookies with my 10 year old - love your generosity.

  • Hey Joey. Ya Did Great. Best You Could. Always Good to see a A very rare Bad finger Interview.

  • Oh dear...sounds like SHITE Dylan...get off the fags Joey...

  • Joey had the band Rockin, Tom & Pete wrote the Jems. Joey's solo efforts are tremendous & better then the final 2 Badfinger LP's. I think so.

  • Joey is a sick joke

  • Why is he killing the song? I cant stand this.

  • And next for your viewing pleasure:

Babe Ruth swinging a bat 3 days before his death from cancer, and

Secretariat running around the track one week before being put to sleep.

Stay tuned to Channel 9 for all your entertainment needs......

  • 0:40- Joe Molland? Fail.

  • Molland's scritchy voice singing what Ham was born to sing, is sacrilege but this needs to be shown so people can see for themselves what an ass he makes of himself. Gotta hand it to him for having the balls to do it though. Seeing George Harrison in this and thinking of him being with Ham and Evans gives a whole new meaning to the Righteous Brothers' song, "Rock and Roll Heaven". What a concept!

  • Guitarist and lead singer? What a dumb woman.

Molland is pathetic too, totally useless. Poor singer and guitarist.

  • Guitarist and lead singer? What a dumb woman.

Molland is pathetic too, totally useless. Poor singer and guitarist.

  • FUCK OFF with all your negative comments .He was there at the height of the band and hes keeping the music alive. So i suppose if it was you ,you would choose layin carpets over performing music that your old band used to play. DICKHEADS. I met him in Sydney and he was a REAL nice guy took us backstage and even gave me a go of his LES PAUL. TOUGH SHIT IF HE DOESNT SING LIKE HAM. HES THE ONLY ONE LEFT SO LEAVE HIM ALONE.lUCKY HIM i SAY AND THREE CHEERS TO HIM

  • No one can blame the lady for not knowing Pete and Tom passed away. Seriously, with molland "holding the torch" [as some have claimed, including his obnoxious wife], how can anyone remember Badfinger, let alone remember Tom and Pete? With joey keeping himself alive on the blood and guts of Pete and Tom, we can't expect much of a tribute for Badfinger - all these little TV talk shows don't give a damn, thanks to the "efforts" of graceless joey.

  • What a pathetic performance and individual. He joined a world-famous band and the "best" song he ever wrote was "Suitcase," which is a piece of shit. At his best, only semi-competent on guitar, and as you can hear, he never should be allowed near a vocal microphone....he would still be laying carpet somewhere had Badfinger not saved him from a certain lifelong obscurity. Go away, Joey!!! RIP the true talents of Badfinger, Pete Ham and Tom Evans.

  • @capmilt Please don't forget Mike Gibbins R.I.P..

  • @capmilt Disagree. I think Molland wrote more quality songs than Evans and Gibbins combined. But, that's just my opinion.

  • tom evans far right @ 2:43

  • This clip is absolute proof that Age gets us all sooner or later. And Joey's told the same stories for so long, he can spout forth like a parrot whenever camera lights are nearby.

  • he could start a Band with Billy J Kramer

  • What a fucking shameless leech.

  • hes A rip off he riped off tons and tons of ppl

  • Lost my respect for him when I learned my Badifnger "Live from Cleveland" put all first his tracks and were rerecorded with new vocals and backing.

  • Stupid cunt reporter.....joey is the only one still alive from badfinger..what a way to prepare for the interview. Also....joey doesn't half bad.. he actually sounds all bad. He should be laying carpet in LA. Not playing shitty guitar

  • I have to give him credit for his playing on Baby Blue and No Matter What. Other than that, well...

  • Pitiful!

    Joey Call Me!

  • He has got to be kidding...

Badfinger had hits before Joey Joined, and while he was good while Pete & Tom were still alive...A grave robber indeed in my opinion.

Sorry, but as a true original Badfinger fan from way back, I gotta call it as I see it.

And this "performance" speaks for itself...

  • @gripedwards Thank You! Grave robber indeed! I saw the Badfinger doc. I heard Tom Evan's phone interviews of the trouble joey caused, though he wasn't specific as time didn't permit. But it is clear! And joey shows his true colors by sabotaging Tom's career by stealing the Badfinger name from him and Tom was in the band before him!

  • laughing my arse off at some of the comments and loving the negative ones---if you can be positive about this idioticness, then there is NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING you would be against. Hearing this painful scrawl wants to make me slit my eardrums.

  • Stupid cunt reporter had no clue the whole was dead,.. Molland sounds horribly bad,.. His voice is pitifull. His guitar playing sounds embarrasing..to say the least......Oh..yeah dont forget he was the lead singer of "Badfinger" dumb bitch..

  • I have to get this great performance onto my ringtone.

  • Stupid Cunt, did not prepare for the interview...everyone's dead except Molland. Who really has no business playing guitar nor singing. This leech should just be laying carpet, not be a musician.

  • 'I Can Love You' off of 'Ass' is one of my favorite Joey songs. He also helped Evans write 'I Don't Mind' which I think is excellent. 'Suitcase', 'Island', 'Give It Up', "Love Time', 'Gotta Get Out Of Here'...also some of my Badfinger favorites.

  • Perfect Example of What The Fuck Happens in Life!

    Love You Badfinger!

Joey, You have alway's been a inspiration!

  • Ah God bless Liverpudlians!

  • I really loved Badfinger....and I don't mean to be nasty....but if i sang like him I damn well would not do it in public

  • Joey Molland has been done a great disservice. When are people going to wake up to his contributions to the music world and finally induct him into the deuchebag hall of fame?

  • @fuzzysting too true... great comment!

  • He always reminded me a little of McCartney.

  • He couldn't shine Paul's shoes. Now Pete Ham & Tom Evans were the "new" Lennon & McCartney.

  • @MRM1062 pete and tom could have been the next lennon & mccartney had they not killed themselves. joey decided to keep going as well as mike. too bad polley robbed them leading to the downfall.

  • @BUNGLEJYME

    You mean looks-wise, right?

You can't be referring to his talent.

  • what the heck is an electric fetus? lol

I bet Mr. Molland has kept his spirits up because he probably doesn't care what people think about him. I certainly hope if someone I know commits suicide, I don't get blamed for it...yikes

  • Listen closely. At exactly 9:30 he says "Electric Fetus"...dig it.

  • Sing up ya fuckin' clown !!

  • I said Joey never wrote a SUCCESSFUL song. He never wrote A HIT. As much as you'd like it to be...that's not hate. It's simply fact. I'm sorry, but Joeys songs are considered album filler.

  • Crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap

  • Joey says he and Mike Gibbins, the original drummer, aren't speaking in this interview. Have you read Mike Gibbins comments on the internet? Shame all this animosity. Search these terms together on Google - Mike Gibbins interview Sean

  • He drove Tom ,who was a fragile soul, to an early grave after an argument over Tom & Pete`s song royalties ( he wanted a share even through he didnt write them ) .I hate this paracite and the fact after Tom`s death a judge later gave this shite a share of royalties of songs written by Ham & Evans . Unfortunately this band`s members have died in the wrong reverse order.

  • Anybody/anymusician thats been on the road for days would know what this interview is all about/ hey..most of you don't show up...this guy did..bless him..

  • 59...they don't have a clue! I'm sure this was way early in the am, try singing after a late night playin out, and then do this crap...riiiiight.

  • I think he's still cute.

  • No Matter What, Day After Day, Baby Blue, Without You - all Pete Ham compositions. If Joey Molland could have written JUST ONE SUCCESSFUL SONG - the Badfinger story (including Joey's) could have ended so very differently. After being given the opportunity to place songs on countless albums and CD's, Joey never came through with a hit. Sad.

  • I think my teeth just got rattled loose.

  • No Joey!! I can not stand with you sorry...

  • horrible voice

  • his voice is awfull, but have you heard Ron Wood singing ,..

  • Shameless performance by Joey.

  • Yes he sounds beyond awful here but what it comes down to is knowing when to hang it up - he used to be fab! and so was the whole band. Years of cigarettes, booze and drugs didn't help him any either so let that be a lesson. What's amazing about this is how dispassionate he is - why pick this song when there are so many other better ones from which to choose? Blessings to you Joey!

  • Well, I now know why Paul McCartney thought Tom Evans had the best voice for "Come and Get It!"

Honestly though, without Pete Ham and Tom Evans, Badfinger just isn't Badfinger.

  • As a matter of fact all the members auditioned for it and McCartney made the obvious choice. You're right about Joey's voice tho...whew! But to be fair he did do some good numbers.: Suitcase, Sometimes, Love Will Come At Last. He even braved "Day After Day" once live. It's not too bad really...Its here on youtube.

  • Hahaha! The proof is in the pudding. "Lead singer of Badfinger" eh??? No correction either. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, etc., etc....

  • Have you heard his covers CD of Badfinger songs. It looks like a legit Badfinger release. A total rip-off! How much did Joey make on this? This realy irks me as it is sold on Amazon and looks like legit downloads. He hurts the band's memory.

  • look what those no talent Stu cook and Doug Clifford taking the table scraps of of the great John Fogerty

  • I love Badfinger, and I never care to blame certain members for inner band troubles. Stu and Doug from Creedence Clearwater Revival didn't write CCR's original songs, but John Fogerty doesn't want to play w/ them so they started their own thing. Robbie Robertson didn't want to rejoin the Band, so they did their own stuff. That's just what happens w/ bands sometimes.

  • Do a little research on fogerty . saul zentz he is a vulture

  • @Obelisk2290 zanz cant dance!

  • awful

  • This is all that's left of Badfinger?

    Yikes.

  • This just proves it was not Joey that made that band great.

  • Nasty...horrid...like an old troll that has lost its talent, if it ever had any. It croaks like a frog. Pete and Tom could be 90and I would love to see them, but not this messed-up dude. Without the original members, Badfinger is not Badfinger...period. The real Badfinger is pure magic, mindblowing.

  • Anyone trying to sing on an early morning show would probably sing the same way.

  • Been there - done it, this is a sad excuse!

  • I still think Joey Molland lives off Badfinger, which is ironic, since he didn't sing or write any of the songs that made that group famous. A strange moment happens here when the interviewer asks Joey if he talks much to the other Badfinger members, and Joey says, "2 of them have died"...A classic case of an interviewer not being prepared.

  • If you look at all the classic lineup albums, you will see that over 50% of all the recordings were from Joey. He was one fourth of the band and contributed significantly to their success. He's the only member living which gives him the right (as well as owning the Badfinger name) to continue to promote the band and it's songs.

  • the interviewer is Alex Kendall and she's still a newscaster here in Mn. ( she's much hotter now) . But I agree , how could she ask such a stupid question? This interview must be about 6 or 7 years old , im wondering how Joey's looking these days

  • @cdadave83814 Joey was ia an original band member, he was part of the group, and is still alive. So why shouldn't he? ...Quit hating!

  • He's singing it down a whole octave! Not that he sang the original lead vocal for Badfinger, but still.

  • This is Karma ...for all the shit he and his asshole wife Kathy put Pete and Tom through.

I read the book written and approved by Tom and Pete's families. Without you - the tragic story of badfinger. Joey's a manipulator.

  • You people are way too harsh on Joey. He sounds like crap in this video, ok and the book about the band is very good, but it's not balanced. He should have agreed to be interviewed so at least his perspective was included.

  • Joey should get some plastic surgery and get rid of those bags under his eys and stuff. Paul McCartney could also use a face lift.

  • Darn,

Joey looks so old and tired!

    wow!~...somethings not right.

  • all that smoking, probably. he was a heavy smoker

  • I saw Joey in the summer of 2007 and he sounded wonderful, better than he did in the 70s I thought. He sounds (and looks) awful in this clip, he must have been ill.

  • Look at all the misspellings in the tv station onscreen graphics. What a bunch of illiterate morons.

  • WOT THE FUK WOZ THAT? HE DIDNT WRITE 'COME AND GET IT' - THAT WAS WRITTEN BY McCARTNEY! - JOEYS WANNABE 'DYLAN' VERSION OF 'COME AND GET IT' WREEKS OF CAT-PISS! MOLLAND LAD GET YOUR ASS AND HEAD TOGETHER YOU TIT

  • Bloody hell, Joe. WTF was that?

  • Joey sounds bad, morning show or not. Please don't take us back, Joe, not much that you have to say is true. Agree Pete, Tom & Mike rolling in their graves.

  • Great clip. Thanks so much for posting it.

  • "Did I hear you say that there must be a catch?

Will you walk away from a fool?.........."

Very apropos, Joey. Next time, you'll learn, get your drinks before you start singing in front of the masses...

Pete, Tommy and Mike rolling in their graves...

  • I may be wrong, but I think this show is a "morning show," which would explain his raspy voice.

  • Me, too. I`m a Badfinger fan since 1669? or `70. This one is immportant for me. I really like his husky voice.

  • Cool video - thanks for posting it.
