  • I had an old school history teacher that would often use "dropped dead" when talking about someone passing and didn't think anything of it. Maybe it was common in the old days

  • This is the worst radio show i have ever hear. I would rather listen to them take shits then them speak.

  • I'd rather hear "dropped dead" then some silly euphemism like "passed away". I don't think he was being insensitive here.

  • Imagine if Cronkite came on the day Kennedy died and said "JFK dropped dead about an hour ago in Dallas...someone shot his head off." That's probably how Mike would have reported it.

  • That is true, especially if they had a falling out as Mike and Tim Russert did.

  • @ajogg so youre saying mike was insensitive because of their falling out? and said dropped dead. lol what an idiot mike is

  • No, I was just saying that "dropped dead" isn't used much on tv, I think MIke is insensitive in general to others.

  • oh ok gotcha

  • he snuck that in there.....

  • bad job out of mike in a big spot, saying "dropped dead" not a good job out of mike

  • @manuntd2009 this is brilliant

  • He "dropped dead"?? Holy shit.

  • NEWS ALERT!!

MIKE FRANCESA IS NOT A NICE GUY!!!

    Narcissistic man says something insensitive....

  • They cry over the ending of a sports talk radio show...like the world is ending...Yet Russert who's more of a household name over anybody working at WFAN dies and he's so rude and matter of fact about it

  • dropped dead... classic

  • Typical Mike having to bring himself into the fold of the Don Imus/Tim Russert little fight. Who cares Mike that you and Tim didnt get along? Who are you?

  • I totally agree. His show may not last long with his pompousness. Good Luck Dog!

  • @ajogg yeah, you're pretty far of base there.

  • mike , you must feel good severing ties with a guy that had more class honor humor dignity and genuine kindness than imus and you have combined. you have become come a tremendous ignorant bore. your knowledge of sports has become more limited as the years pass

  • Just like Mike to use the phrase "drop dead" proves the point that they were not the best program

  • mike didnt handle it right...but mike was right....russert was a two-faced backstabber who threw imus under the bus and mike called him out on it

  • its a new york thing, we're tough people.

  • Oh yeah

explain Chris Russo crying like a little girl on his final show lol And Mike wiped away a few tears himself lol..

  • first of all ur from canada which has next to none meaning in the global world. second, chris russo and francesa were together for 19 years, spent 5 hrs a day 5 days a week with eachother. it was emotional, everyone gets emotional unless you have a retardation.

  • its a new york thing, we're tough people.

LMAO When Francesa says Russert "Dropped Dead" and reported his tragic passing so matter of fact u defended him by saying New Yorkers are 'Tough".....YET these ate the same so called "TOUGH" guys who cried liked little girls over a sports talk radio show

    LMAO

  • Tim Russert was a legend who hosted meet the press for a million years....Mike was rude when reporting his death...Mike showed little respect and no emotion...Im guessing since he showed no emotion Francesa must have some kind of retardation

  • I had the misfortune of getting this terrible news first from Fatscessa. A bigger self-important, pompous ass you'll never find. He turned one of broadcast journalism's saddest events into into a petty grievance all about himself. Who gave a flying f*ck about YOUR strained relationship with him! One of the greats of news just dies suddenly and Fatso can only think of HIMSELF. Jerk.

  • AMEN Russert was 100 x more popular over Mike and the Maddog or anything WFAN ever did

Russert was the host of meet the press....Everybody in North America knew him unlike Francesa where he's only relevant in NYC

  • ok thats why they were the number 1 talk sports radio on regular radio stations for roughly 15 years. they are a country wide thing. you dont even know a fuckin thing about radio. so its not worth arguing with you because you are totally ignorant

  • M$M was number one sports show while Meet the Press was the number one show on Sunday

  • Yeah when most people are sleeping..

  • i really cant believe he said this!

  • oh my god

  • if you didnt hear me the first 78 times, tim and i, well ugh, our relationship had been strained due to the whole ughhh, imus thing...blah blah blah. The pope has spoken

  • You fail.
