  • cool tank might want a bigger one though

  • do u need gravel

  • Do not move tank with water. First, set up an aquarium in a place where it will stay. Then fill with water, etc.

  • Very scientific.

  • 1. a bit too small tank Cynops are very agil

    2. do not use fertilizer becaus it can hurt the newts very sensitive skin

    3. not enough hiding places in your tank, the animals cant get a break from the others

  • uur very intelligent keep up the good work

  • Thank u

  • With basic needs like where can I get Theese? What food may they eat? And what should I set the tank up like

  • Common frogs or toads

  • Yeah I wanted a video on

  • Hi my names George I'm wondering if u could do a video of similar kind but for your aver edge garden frog please get back cheerio291@gmail.com thank you george age 14

  • We house 21 females, 7 males in a 1mX0.7mX0.5m tank , containing a water filter, several river rocks. Water level is kept at 15 cm, and is changed after they eat.

  • nice work kid, have your males tail changed color under your tank conditions?

  • yeh need a bigger tank i have two newts in a 21litre tank and thats about right but you should put more stuff in for them to hide in and behide

  • i have loads my self mate

  • this tank is to small for all of these

  • do you need a water heater thing?

  • @Quakerboy98 not at all chinese fire bellied newts prefer room temperature except in the summer you gotta keep it cool under 75 degrees

  • slowly and carefully? looked like u just dropped them in to me.

  • You will need a MUCH bigger tank when they grow up. 10 gallons to each newt. I have one in a 10 gallon tank with the water about 6 ro 7 inches high and I feel that is quite small. I'd prefer a long 20 gallon, but they are hard to find for a responsible price. He is 6 inches head to tip of tail.

  • why such a small tank?

  • You probably don't want to use aquarium gravel, and maybe add some more land for them. Also, even though they are babies, don't have more than 2 newts in that tank!

  • that was too much water, they like standing on their hind legs and reach for air.

  • Nice vid.

  • They do have poisonous skin but if you wash your hands after handling it's perfectly fine I have two wild caught eastern newts

  • Don't newts have a poisonous skin?

  • do they need any light source? uvb, uva, or any other

  • @hasanarkan No light source is NEEDED, but a flourescent bulb should be used and a 12-hour intervals of light should be used to keep the newts healthy.

  • FLUFF KILLING NEWT

  • put the rock in before the newts.... then u wont crush them for sure!

  • I just caught a fire belly what does it eat

  • @tigers3010 bloodworms

  • @tigers3010 Frozen and live bloodworms are a favorite among newt keepers.

  • how many could i put in a 20 gallon?

  • @TheMysteryman334 8 or so lol

  • @TheMysteryman334 3-5 Fire belly newts for 20 gallon tanks.

  • soo soo ,,, cool really cool its helpful for me :D :)

  • uhh dude u need whey bigger then a 5 gallon for just one! u should use at least a 15 gallon.

  • @cartoonfreack328 A 10 gallon aquarium is sufficient for 1-2 Fire Belly newts.

  • Amazing! Thank you sooo much!!!!

  • real men have reptiles, not amphibians. ;)

  • common now , not in ur bed lol

  • Sand is better for newts and so are live plants

  • Are newts lizards

  • @fabihanski No they're amphibians.

  • @fabihanski No, they are amphibians, and are not related to lizards

  • You should haved put the rock in the tank, before putting the newts in.

  • rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr as the door shuts lol

  • will yhey do fine in a 15 gallon there whole life?

  • Do you think the Fire-Bellied Newts would go nicely with a Green Tree Frog and a Fire Bellied Toad? i mean in a bigger tank.

  • @soulgamer789 no species should be mixed with Fire Belly Newts, as they produce skin toxins that accumulate in a tank and can kill other species in the tank.

  • @Phoenix123474 nope i have 3 newts with 3 species of fish 2 other firebelly frogs and a chubby frog, they coolio

  • What is everything that i will need for a salamander or newt tank? Also what do they eat

  • Is that a 5 gallon?

  • @turtlelover191 for a complete setup for a land newt or salamander you would need a substrate (dirt, pebbles, gravle ect) you will need declorinator , newts(obviously) decorations, and a small amount of time per week to clean out their whole tank but i would recoment them they are great starter amphibains if you have any other questions then please ask, comment, imbox, and recoment vids to friends i could do with some feedback :) thanks

  • @turtlelover191 (by the way you wont need dechlorinator for a land newt because their is not much water you should add just enough to keep them wet and offer them a spot to bathe/swim for an aquatic newt you will need water, dechlorinator, substrace(rocks, pebbles, gravel), decorations, perhaps plants, offer a way of them/it reaching the surface to breath, any question give me a shout and ill get back to you:) OH BY THE WAY- they eat many things including crickets(acording to size)=

  • @matty5105 water treatment is necessary and many firebellies tend to become fully aquatic later. cauldata culture has excellent care sheets for these and other species of newts and salamanders. Nice Video.

  • they will eat bloodworms, blackworms, whiteworms, mealworms, earthworms, tubifex worms, and other small insects ask any more questions if you need to :)

  • @matty5105 do u feed them crickets
