ok smash bros 64 came out before the new millenium right? then in 2001 i think? melee came out...then i believe brawl came out in 2007, so as it seems, the new one either took a long time, or they didnt even think about it for a long time...putting that into consideration, the next SSB should come out 3-4 years after brawl as in 2010-2011...but its definetly aint coming out now...o well...they were working on super mario galaxy 2, so i guess that took up SSB's time...well heres hoping

Well there have been hints of it actually. Nintendo first said in a confrence that it was a good idea and in another confrence said the designer teams liked the idea and wanted to do it. So maybe late next year i'd guess
