  • is this Dana Carvey's band?

  • That's awesome! I have never seen that. We used to rock the Dwarfs on KISS with Joe Anthony, and play them on the way home from the drag races. Thanks.

  • I remember watching this for the first time....it was awesome then and it's awesome now!!

  • the only thing missing in this video was hot girls! bad ass band!!!!! Its all about the hair metal!

  • I,ve raised two cats with The Dwarfs here in Finland. Jopi died 2006 but Repe is still sleeping beside me.Literally. Real domestic cats that is. You never get women by playing Russ's singing or Gerry's riffs.

  • love the no frills plastic wrap! ah memories.

  • Shameless self-promotion! at least it was fun... don't take yourselves so seriously.. (I don't think you can make a record that way, but we tried!)

  • Best video ever!

I met Mike Hall at a kiss concert in oshawa and he was sitting right behind me. I even got him to sign my stand tall album!

  • AWESOME BAND AND SO UNDER APPRECIATED!

SEBASTIAN BACH WAS EVEN INFLUENCED BY HIS VOCALS!

ANOTHER UNDER APPRECIATED CANADIAN METAL BAND FROM TORONTO WAS..SLIK TOXIK

  • The reason they never made big is the same reason Anvil never did.

Basically, weak song writing and lame guitar playiing. You can make all the goofy faces you want but it's not going to sell albums! The only really good song the Dwarfs had was Dirty Weapons. Also, they never really had a strong lead guitar player compared to the guitar players they were up against back then. Mike Dwarf was a good guitar player, Berklee educated in Jazz guitar etc..but not a convincing Metal guitar player.

  • @SuperUdo9990 I kind of agree with that... I had their first three albums back in the day, was really looking on here to see if their debut was around because my fuzzy recollection is that it was the best. I think I lost track of them around Dirty Weapons.

  • @SuperUdo9990 Yea, and everyone is a freakin critic. Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one. Killer Dwarfs were a great band. There was nothing weak about them. All except your opinion.

  • I Blasted the K D"S all through high school and still dotheir debut album and and Big Deal holds a special place in my collection, and I love Stand Tall and Dirty Weapons too, Method I'll say was their swansong but The boys need "Giv'er"" and jump on the comback wagon TOO!! oh and to Anchorman and his ilk who show they were'nt there,... any self respecting metal head would never refer to this GENEXERS music as "hair" metal it's_ JUST _ fucking _ METAL_ !!!

  • @jettscreemr while everyone was blasting to quiet riot etc iw as blasting killer dwarfs and triumph.

  • "without ANY editing or effects?" Come on......that black goop coming out of the pipe looked TOTALLY CGI, bro......

  • The first tune that i heard from them was heavy metal breakdown...Heavy Metal Rules....

  • Love these guys bit the drummers style is pretty weird.

  • My band used to cover this song!!!! I love it!!!!

  • Man i know the 80's were/ are now still, just a blur. But: how the hell did I miss these guys!?!?!?!?!?

  • @jrb51055 A blur???? Are you mad? Come over to my house. I'll put on Nightmare on Elm Street and Don't Go Into the House, and we can play my Atari VCS. I'll have my mom cook up a Momma Celeste pizza, and then we can play Dungeons & Dragons all night while listening to Manowar, Iron Maiden, and Warlock. And we remember, maybe we can tune into USA, Up All Night!

Just doing my part to keep the '80s alive. Cheers!

  • @KeenAnthony sounds like a plan-but those movies make me sleep with a night light. at my age, its embarrassing. Thanks tho. appreciate the offer.

    j

  • @jrb51055 Hahaha.

Killer Dwarfs were always one of my favorites. I believe I discovered them as a result of a movie soundtrack, surely some low budget horror/sci-fi flick. That was definitely one of the best ways to get acquainted with bands that you didn't hear on radio or see much of on MTV. If you haven't heard "Dirty Weapons" from Killer Dwarfs, give that a try asap. A few other bands you may have forgotten: Impelliteri, Alcatrazz, Hurricane, Victory, Rough Cutt, Pretty Maids, Kick Axe.

  • brilliant !

  • I saw them at the Gasworks on Younge st in 88 or 89. Russ Graham Jumped off a stack of speakers and landed on his head ! Then he jumped up and carried on like it never happened ! The club came unglued that night.... Awsome show.

  • @GERALDMANFRED

i wish i lived in those days

  • haha this what it takes these days, record companies dont spend money on anyone except #1 acts, lol fuck em we dont even need them anymore, these guys are pioneers lol

  • This video is amusing

  • Pee Wee Herman foto on the wall LOL

  • I saw them in Mpls, the First Ave night club, not the best show however, I still love the song and the video

  • I am psyched I still have Dirty Weapons and Stand Tall on CD. I only wish I saw them live. Great Canadian Band.

  • I saw them live, had to be 1990s era as my first show was likely 89. Their performance live was a let down so it must have varied as they toured I suppose

  • You CAN see Killer Dwarfs Live on DVD. Netflix has it. The disc is titled ""Reunion of Scribes Live" and was filmed in Canada in 2001. I have it and love it. Lead singer Russ is all over the stage while singing impeccably in key!

  • Saw these guys open up for Iron Maiden on the Seventh Son tour. They replaced Ace Frehley at the Capital Center. The show was awsome.

  • Awesome! Haven't seen this since J.D. Roberts was host of the Power Hour.

  • Awesome! One of my all-time favorite videos. Delighted to see it again after all these years.

  • I don't understand we these guys didn't make it big, they are better than 90% or their peers

  • @stormriderWI I think it was the oversaturation at the time. Too many of the same-sounding bands were coming out. When Grunge came to ovecome 80s metal, I was severly pissed. but now, i understand why why Grunge became popular..it was different..until then all the Grunge bands started to sound the same. I agree with you, these guys are great.

  • @stormriderWI they did make it pretty big...first 2 albums went gold and they had a #1 video on MTV

  • This video represents the best era of music....why did grunge have to end hair metal? Why couldn't it have ended rap? Think of all the needless suffering that could have ended right there.

    Hail the Dwarfs....hail Stand Tall!!!

  • Truer words never spoken, Grunge and Bon Jovi's success ruined hard rock in the 90s. But rap and hip hop?? I just can barely stand it

  • sorry about that i meant to clikk the good one i accidentally hit the bad one, i love these guys.

  • @Anchorman0427 dude - get a grip! Grunge is so much better than this shit. And I can be honest and tell you that I was into this shit when it first came out. Fuck, be honest with yourself. The video ends with two ugly chicks who leave a record store with the band's album in their hands. Did you not see that? That's shameless self promotion and devoid of any tact or integrity. That's wankery, bud! Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and Mother Love Bone wipe this shit clean. Get used to it.

  • @missingt00th: actually Alice In Chains declare themselves straightforward as a metal band :)

  • @Anchorman0427 grunge came & went ! rock & metal is here forever, horns up dude \m/

  • This video gets my vote for (at least) TOP 20 of the 80's. FUNNY STUFF!!!

  • great stuff. thanks for keeping the Killer Dwarfs videos coming Jimby:-)

  • hilarious, thanx for uploading
