Not only that but the show was based life experiences of the entire writing staff and Rosenthal, with the family members being based on members from BOTH the Rosenthal and Ramano families. Peter Boyle, Doris Roberts and Brad Garret are what made the show. Romano was merely a 2nd banana to their talent's. Or should I say 4th banana ?!

To those who think that he's quoting the show. Take a look at the copyright at the end of the clip. This was recorded the year BEFORE Everybody Loves Raymond started to air. So I think that Ray has worked the jokes into the show, not that he has stolen them from the show. :)
