  • this set got him that sitcom

  • Not funny!

    Very, VERY weak material.

  • i am glad there identical, u save money on photographs lol

  • Nice jacket Ray!

  • MANIE THE MAMOTH!

  • Comment removed

  • what 32 people disliked this?

well i guess not Everybody loves Raymond.

  • letterman produced his show

  • actually pretty funny!

  • as g8 as he is, he does recycle his jokes a little too much. as long as their his own jokes!

  • I've seen romano cheese do better stand up bits.

  • @seriousguynogames3 like you could do a better stand up bit

  • @seriousguynogames3 Than the cheese? Probably not.

  • The jokes on his show is written by the man himself guys, if you read the credits of the show, one of the first lines read "Based on the comedy of Ray Romano"

  • @DoubleDown200 yeah he is the one who made that show I mean obviously lmao

anyway ray and seinfeld are comedian legends

  • Freeman's Mind?

  • @Palatard lol thats the reason i looked this guy up. that mammoth from ice age sounded like freeman's mind.

  • Had it not been for the other comedic geniuses and writers involved in " Everybody Loves Raymond " the series wouldn't have gone anywhere. Romano is a wannabe. How any producer would find faith in him as an individual talent is beyond me. The guy, as a stand up comedian, is ... JUST NOT FUNNY.

  • @ReneeNme Hey Dumbass of america, Ray Romano WROTE alot of the show, HE PRODUCED THE SHOW, HE CAME UP WITH THE MATERIAL FOR THE SHOW. So you know nothing basically, and you're a wannabe. Ray Romano is a fucking mastermind. The series got somewhere because of his comedic genius apparently many people think so, otherwise he wouldn't have won BEST WRITING FOR A COMEDY SERIES, or BEST ACTOR. So gtfo.

  • @smilingdevil31 Um, Peter Rosenthal was the creator and executive producer of the show, not Romano. Not only that but the show was based life experiences of the entire writing staff and Rosenthal, with the family members being based on members from BOTH the Rosenthal and Ramano families. Peter Boyle, Doris Roberts and Brad Garret are what made the show. Romano was merely a 2nd banana to their talent's. Or should I say 4th banana ?!

    .

  • @ReneeNme Um, Peter Rosenthal consulted Romano to create the show. where do you think he got the idea, you moron. He provided the material that they come up with the show. And, um, he produced many episodesof the show, not just rosenthal, romano was part of the writing staff, and if its from the romano family WHO COMES UP WITH IT?! ROMANO DOES, just contradicted yourself, so you admit that romano comes up with a part of the show, romano won BEST WRITING for a comedy series. so yeah.

  • @ReneeNme Romano is a wannabe even though he created Everybody Loves Raymond, and much of the series is based of his life, and his comedy? Hmm, that doesn't sound logical to me.

  • @moneyquickeasy Seems like you might want to read back through this thread.

  • @ReneeNme Eh, I'd rather not. Fill me in.

  • @ReneeNme LOL Jealous much???

  • " Ray Romano " one of the suckiest comedians of all time. Just sayin'.

  • @ReneeNme I agree, I didn't laugh a single time during the video, I was like "wtf why are all of these people laughing that hard, it's not even funny, are they just happy to be on tv?"

  • @WulfySky Apparently. Either that or they're pumping laughing gas into the studio.

  • @ReneeNme Lmfao.

  • @ReneeNme One of the suckiest of all time? Lol, he used that same comedic style on that hit tv show of his. It's on tv every day. He's fucking loaded. Where do I sign up to be "sucky" like that? It's alright, you probably can't relate to the content, which is how your opinion was formed.

  • @itsPerception Said it before, I'll say it again. Without the comedic delivery / acting skills of Peter Boyle ( Young Frankenstein ) , Doris Roberts and Brad Garret " Everybody Loves Raymond " wouldn't have became the show it did. Just watch the repeats of the show. Who gets the HUGE laughs ... Boyle / Roberts / Garret or Ramano ?

Myself, Boyle / Roberts / Garret get belly laughs, Ramano is lucky if he gets a chuckle.

  • @ReneeNme Sorry bud, if you can't even spell his name right, I can't respect your opinion. Appreciate the effort, though.

  • @ReneeNme wtf ray romano created EVERYBODY loves raymond

  • @fanofmussic co~created.

  • Ha this is great, that last candy bit I recognise from Everybody Loves Raymond.

  • babies like keys...

  • Didnt get the keys joke. :(

  • haha all the jokes from elr hilariouse

  • Best Comedians:

    Ray Romano

    Brian Regan

    Bill Cosby (Jell-o puddin' pops)

They're funny because they don't swear every 20 seconds.

  • Dr. Katz' favorite patient.

  • @PinguUncensored My favorite comedian from Dr. Katz season 1.

  • this guy is the best

  • Damn, the crowd is annoying.

I mean, barone is great, he makes me laugh and he's a good comedian but that doesn't mean that I have to clap every 30 seconds at something he says...

  • @R1nji Its Romano.. Barone is the character from ROMANO's show...........

  • @k0w1 Sorry, I know that normally. Thank you for correcting me.

  • He copied stuff from everybody loves raymond

  • @philipbiro He performed this before he got the TV show...

  • @philipbiro lol even if he did its HIS show dumbass..

  • This aired in May 1995, ELR began in 1996. The comedy of ELR is actually based on Rays stand up material as it was this performance that inspired agents to offer him his own TV show. I have also notived that there are a few other parts of his stand up act that appear on ELR.

  • @philipbiro lol... he wrote that too

  • Man I would love some new everybody loves Raymond. There is just such a feel good vibe to the show.

Tv is crammed with S*X. F this and F her and F you nowadays

  • @facup88 well, without Peter Boyle as Frank it wouldn't be the same.

  • not funny

  • he sounds like kermit the frog xD

  • Losing his perspective on adult humor?

    The hell you say!

  • Reason i like Ray is hes funny without using swear words every 2 seconds like some other comics like chris rock. Good clean comedy, something you dont see much of now a days.

  • @T1memaster

So is Brian Regan, hilarious clean comic.

  • Freeman's Mind lol, sounds like Ross Scott, or does Ross Scott sound like Ray Romano?

  • Everybody Loves Raymond

  • One ugly man is no big deal, but if you see that same ugliness walk right behind him ...

    lol, awesome funny

  • i like him better as ray .... i love *everybody loves raymond*

  • Why is everyone saying he got these jokes from the show...wasn't this standup done b4 the show?

  • SO RAYMOND USES JOKES FROM HIS SHOW

  • @MrWelsh2000 As in he takes his jokes from his standup and used them in his tv show?

This happened before he had a tv show..

  • am i gay!?! hahaha lolll

  • To those who think that he's quoting the show. Take a look at the copyright at the end of the clip. This was recorded the year BEFORE Everybody Loves Raymond started to air. So I think that Ray has worked the jokes into the show, not that he has stolen them from the show. :)

  • @Marbash0312 the show is based on his life he really does have an older brother named richard instead of robert i think his younger brother is robert.

  • @Marbash0312

True, and it's his show anyway, isn't it?

  • @heatbucspies55

Yes it is. I was just simply stating that he didn't take the jokes from the show. But he used them in the show, as it is his jokes.

  • lol hes quoting the show

  • He sounds like Kermit the frog.

  • jajajaja"am i gay" hahah

  • I think Ray Romano is kind of cute

  • the cookie joke is in Everybody Loves Raymond :S :S :S

  • @wowhorde12 was that joke made on this stand up or in the show?

  • @Ginounknown not to sure tbh

  • you are supposed to laugh??.....

  • lmao ... everybody loves ray ... me incl

  • LOL about the twins and photograpsh xD

  • suprisngly cute id marry him

  • wow I'm a stand up and i'd love to have a crowd this easy!

  • Quite funny but I think it works better on the show. And for all of u who keeps saying that he recycled it in his show "Everybody Loves Raymond" at the end of the show beginning of the credits, it clearly states that it is based on the comedy of Ray romano

  • I can't help thinking of the mammoth from Ice age while listening to him xD

  • @garfildicaa I know. Even when he speaks normally he sounds like Manny.

  • He's amazing! That's why I chose to work with him with Brad Garrett!

  • The hamburger joke was from Dr Katz I believe.

  • This hilarious from start to finish... his stand up is so great!

  • his stand up is awful...but the jokes work in his sitcom

  • ray romano is the voice of manny on ice age 1 2 and 3

  • Hey idiots, the jokes from his stand up were used as ideas for the show. Stop with the posting about recycling jokes from the show. You schmucks. He isn't the only comedian to do that either. I know Jerry Seinfeld, George Lopez, and Chris Rock did the same on their shows. Anyways, I love Ray. His show and his stand up are so good.

  • so funny this guy!!!

  • It takes talent to stand in front of a lot of people and make them laugh without using foul language in your act. Kind of like a musician who doesn't need to play loud to sound good. I get the feeling Ray is even funnier over a beer.

  • no comedian has performed his/her first stand up on national television, they usually start in bars and comedy clubs, this is not Ray's first performance

  • Letterman gets more laughs from the crowd and he isn't even funny.

  • This is the bit that turned Ray from a small stand up comedian to a multi millionaire in a few years.

  • @cobrabase You got nothing on him.

  • @cobrabase In the Guiness Book of World Records 2000, Raymond was the most payed person on television in Everybody Loves Raymond.

This is NOT what turned him into a multi-millionaire.

  • Comment removed

  • He looks like Jerry Seinfeld here

    save money on photographs ROFLOL

    Everybody does love Raymond

  • suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks

  • I like his relaxed delivery

  • Pretty ordinary..

  • I am sorry but this is a terrible bit.

The majority of the jokes were recycled from the first season of Everybody Loves Raymond. The cookie bit, the two ugly twins following each other, the drawing of the hamburger on the hand, etc..

Would have been so much better if he had used fresh material.

  • it IS on letterman... his show is ENTIRELY uninteresting... Here's the guy who BANNED Hicks' performance from his show. fuck letterman

  • @mrtryps letterman later had hick's mother on the show and the played his standup routine in its entirety

  • @rdeffleymoviesnew recycling good jokes is something all comedians do

  • @rdeffleymoviesnew i'm not a fan of romano's humor..i feel like his shit is meant to entertain either 80 year old women or 10 year old kids...but, dude, it's common practice for comedians to use recycled material when on a late nite talk show...very rarely, if ever, will a comedian come with fresh material for a talk show appearance...i've heard chris rock recycle his shit on leno, letterman, conan, ferguson..and chris rock is actually funny

  • @rdeffleymoviesnew

it's 1995 dumbass, before the show aired. You are probably a child of incest.

  • @ZSy264

"Child of incest"..That was a tad bit harsh, but oh well..LOL

I know now that I made a mistake. I never watched ELR when it was on TV. I caught up on DVD. This stand up was on the first season DVD, so I assumed it had come out after the first season. However, after I posted, I soon realized my mistake when I discovered that the show had gotten picked up based off this bit.

So I admit that I made a mistake and I wanted to take my post back. However, I had already posted..

  • haha, rey romano is funny, light smile

  • I didnt really laugh until the VERY end. "Am I gay??"

  • I don't find Romano very funny, hes ok, but nothing special in my opinion. Seems like a really nice guy though.

  • Better then Seinfeld in my opinion

  • Is Dave in the background? There is a shadow that looks like a person. Freaky. haha

  • haha yea that was Dave!!

  • @hgates101 :D:D:D:D

  • Has he ever released any DVDs of his standup?

  • Well I do love Raymond. Everybody does.

But he's not like seriously comedian funny to me.

He's sort of like Norm. I smile at him but I don't laugh, it's too light and formatted.

He's not like... Jimmy Carr or Ricky Gervais funny.

  • You must be having some hormone malfunctioning or something

  • It's Henchmen 24

  • ya 15th is fine I just need to know where you think you are goiNG WITH THAT COOKIE!!

    XD

  • so the kids on the show are his own?

  • @Avicenna9 no but they are based on his own kids 1 daughter , two twins (he also had one younger son after this)

  • you gotta love him in Ice age as the Mamut voice

  • The candy joke with his daughter is one he later used in his show Everybody Loves Raymond. He is such a funny guy, love him!

  • @Canuckchick52 he used many other jokes from this stand-up on raymond as well

  • I know, it's just one of my favourites.

  • He's hilarious! XD

  • hilarious

  • Mad funny!!! I wonder what year this was

  • 1995, says at the very end

  • "You know it doesn't matter if you laugh or not, I'm just happy to be out of the house right now"

    hahahahaha

  • for a long time i hated this guy, annoying nasal voice!but now i'm fallen in love with him.

  • @Charlie000369000 his voice is what makes him awesome you douchebag!

  • @Charlie000369000 Theres just some people you cant hate and Ray is one :P.

  • The cookie thingy , he later wrote into one of his episodes, trying to get an interview with a sports figure

  • aww i love him he so funny :D xoxo

  • is he the guy that did the super mario frustration video?

  • no, just has the same accent.

  • Greatest comedian ever

    Show is hilarious

Cookie joke used when he talked to steinbrunner

  • Sometimes people complain ob being alone, when they are married they are happy when they are out, on the road. Hard to comprehend.

  • theyre "comedians". their job is to be comical. when they talk about marriage being miserable, its to be funny. how did that go over your head?

  • if many comedians are doing it, then obviously its because the audience loves it. just because you dont, you shouldnt speak for the majority of the world.

  • Absolutely ridiculous! These comments are meant to express individual opinions and not the opinions of the majority

  • nobody would say any marriage jokes if the audience wasn't laughing at them. Thats how a comic does standup. Chances are if a few audiences didn't laugh at the joke, nobody will. Trust me, I have done stand up comedy for 5 years now.

  • FUNNYYYYYYYYY

  • the shows fucking hilarious love that show seriously

ive seen so many episodes if youve never seen it its a great show

  • love his show..all these jokes are in it the show

  • best comedian of all

  • damn he filled out

  • This is the voice of Manny from Ice Age ;)

  • hes my favourite :)

  • he looks so weedy in this clip! funny though

  • he uses jokes from his show wich i watched a few times but it's still funny

  • The show was made from these jokes, not the other way around.

  • thats because the show was based on his stand up

  • aw he's so skinny!

lol, everytime i hear him i always think of Manny the Mammoth

  • ray romano is hilarious wich is why i love his show

  • He's great :) I like the fact that his jokes are "clean", something you can listen to with the while family. I'm so tired of all the sex related jokes anyway. Btw, the candy story he told at the end was also used in ELR :)

  • Yeah. You're right, I like that he's stuck to clean jokes.

Then again, I look at George Carlin who swears like no tomorrow and I wonder, "How can these two different people both be so funny?"

Gotta love the both of them.

  • so was the cookie joke

  • i love ray, hes great

  • not a myth, reality

  • he is the voive of the mammoth in ice age.

  • Were they his actual kids on Everybody Loves Raymond then? as he as twins on that show too..

  • no its not. sorry

  • no but the name of his daughter on the show is also ally. and in the pilot episode, his twins names were gregory and michael (his real kids' names) but he changed it because he thought it would be too similar to his real life.

  • No they weren't his real kids. But if you remember the daughter of the "cookie lady" who was Ally's friend? That's Ray's real daughter :)

  • Cool.... I never knew that... I'll have to check that out... Thanks for that little tid-bit of info... =o)

  • That cookie joke was on "Everybody Loves Raymond"

  • I can't believe he is 51. He's a hot 51.

  • i thought he was in his late 30's just 10 minutes ago i found out he friggin 50+!

  • well thts because he was in his late 30s when he did this act

  • lol. i mean looking at him now he doesn't look like hes in his 50's. Its a bit obvious that this act is a bit old., judging by the quality. come on now... lol

  • not thaaaat funny

  • reminds me of rupert pupkin
