  • @kabuCee Yes: one way from coil to phone unfortunately. It's not very practical, but I can't help thinking that there may be *some* practical application for this... I just can't think of it :-)

  • @jdesbonnet It can be used as QRCodes, to transfer URL information to the phone. May be with larger coils and more electromagnetic amplitude, you can just touch something with your phone and get info about it.

  • @kabuCee Got it, now I checked your blog. Brilliant idea !

  • mad you keep up the good work , and also you maybe able to make app for your android phone now by using app inventor thanks

    ian

  • Bet the iphone cant do this :)

  • @Feliexxxxxxxx

    who cares about iphone idiot

  • @zaffe93 exactly iphone cant do anything compared to android

  • @Feliexxxxxxxx Why would I want to do this?

  • @d4ark u mad bro?

  • @d4ark Well people in conventions could easily get information by putting their android device near places with this mechanism and get their information easily

  • @Feliexxxxxxxx and what would be the point in this?

  • @Feliexxxxxxxx Ironically, the iPhone probably can do this. Instead of utilizing NFC dedicated tech, this solution utilizes the phone's compass (magnetometer) to detect changes in electric fields - While the iPhone doesn't have NFC capability, I don't think it would have trouble pulling off this kind of communication. Props to @jdesbonnet for the technique!
