i love how everyone thinks hes gay like all u guys are saying and everyone thinks hes biased, well listen to any other teams play by play announcer and listen to when the opponent facing their team is putting tremendous pressure on and end up scoring and see how they react, then listen to Rick Jeanneret in the same situation and tell me he is biased, then tell me how u cannot get more into the game listening to this guy...hes amazing and if u think not ur not a true fan!

Notice how he's one of the few announcers in hockey or any sport that follows the play this well. His voice gets stronger and more intense as the play gets more intense and the sabres get closer to scoring.
Rick will be in the Hockey Hall of Fame with Bob Cole and co. soon enough.

If the Sabres are ever gonna win the Cup it will have to be this year. I have a feeling they are like the Oilers of last year. They'll go far in the playoffs but too many players will get big contracts to play for other teams once the season is over.
